The Full Scoop
I haven't told him yet. I can't quite figure out how to say it. You see, sweet little Cornelius is the ONLY member of the IBKC that hasn't been spoken for.
Willamena met her new parents and instantly fell in love with them. I am pretty sure it was love at first site for them as well. Actually, I think they loved her before they even met her. We just had to meet them and love them ( which we did, they are fabulous! ).
Little Miss Lottie is going to a wonderful place as well. She'll be living with her new mom and a new brother too ! Her mom is awesome and is going to give her all the love that this precious girl deserves.
Maddie has found someone very special. So special in fact, that we are willing to let her go solo. We really wanted to send her out with her bro, but this opportunity came along for her, and we couldn't resist.
Willamena and Lottie still need to be spayed, which will happen soon. They will join their new families as soon as they are through that and have had a little time to heal.
Maddie is ready to go, we just need to schedule a time for her to be picked up.
That leaves Cornelius. I guess somebody always has to be last. I am sure he'll be scooped up soon . It will be easier to find a home for him now that he's a single kitty. I just need to circulate a picture of him in his bow tie and I am sure he'll get snatched up. So maybe I won't even tell him. Just because he's the last picked, doesn't mean he'll be the last one to go. So for now, I think I'll spare him a blow to his little kitty ego.

I would take his cute little self in a moment... darn me for living in Denver!! I'd hoped that someone would take the two of them. Give that gorgeous boy a scratch and a cuddle from me. Thanks for what you do.
ReplyDeleteSending Cornelius good wishes for finding the perfect family soon. He's such a handsome guy!
ReplyDeleteI totally would pick him first.
ReplyDeleteYEAH!!!!
ReplyDeleteIf Oso finds out, just tell him that he's so handsome and loving that he needs an extra-special family.
And that if I weren't in Chicago and allergic, I'd take him like a shot!
Mister Cornelius would be my first pick too. How can anyone resist him? Especially with the bow tie. Circulate that picture and he'll be snapped up in a second.
ReplyDeleteIf I lived anywhere near you, I'd be more than happy to take Mr. Cornelius and give him a loving home. I'm glad that the members of the IBKC are going to homes where they will be loved.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy that Willamena, Lottie and Maddie found good homes! I totally would have pegged someone snatching Cornelius up early in the game though... he just seems so charismatic.
ReplyDeleteYay for forever homes!!! *happy dance*
ReplyDeleteThough I must admit I'm jealous of the lucky people who are getting Willamena...I really love that cute little dearheart.
I'll say a prayer or two for Cornelius, that he gets a home where he will be treated like the treasure that he is.
I just think, fabulous as the girls are, that this means saving the best for last!
ReplyDeleteCornelius will find a good home....we all know!
ReplyDeletei'm sure there's some sweet soul just waiting quietly for all the dust and dander to settle -- when they can step forward and whisper softly, "may i have him?"
ReplyDeletein the meantime, pardon me while i drag off my broken heart -- that they have to be parted from each other and you at all.
MWAH! i will miss these lovely days finding peace, space to breathe and sanity in the midst of a "crazy world" in the awesome pictures and loving descriptions of your kitties. thanks for those.
ps: good job, laurie and charlene.
whaleshaman,,
ReplyDeleteit's not just me and charlene,,, there's also co-foster mom kim and foster dad craig,, kim's cats nate and tate....
it takes a village to raise a kitty !
Awww, poor Cornelius. I wish I could take him, but I already got my own sweet little black kitten-man recently!
ReplyDeleteIf I lived close enough, I'd take Cornelius in a second. We desperately need a second kitten... our first one is driving us nuts!
ReplyDeleteI waited til I was 8 monfs old to dopt mine mom. Then I knowed she was the one fur me. Maybe it'll be like that fur Cornelius. Savin the bestest fur last! Purrs to all those lucky kitties!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad all the girls have found new homes and will be happy. And I'm sure Cornelius will find one family pretty soon.
ReplyDeleteBut I'm also sad that they are all going... I've been following their progress since I've discovered you blog.
I'm going to miss those little girls a lot, but a beauty like Cornelius won't go long without a good, loving home, I'm sure!
ReplyDeleteThe poor little black kittens are always the last to be adopted (except in my household, which is 2/3 black cats).
ReplyDeleteHe'd be my first pick, too...love me some kitty-boys! I know he'll find a home soon. If my parents lived closer, he already would have one...they love black kitties.
ReplyDeleteGlad all the girls have found loving forever homes!
Say it ain't so! He's my FAVOURITE.
ReplyDeletewell, I guess you'll just have to keep him! :)
ReplyDeleteYipppeee Laurie! It sounds like you found great homes for all of them. And I just know you will find a great home for Cornelius - he is just too cute to pass up.
ReplyDelete-Sarah
I cried when I read this this morning. Then I cried again when I read all the love we are all sending to Cornelius. I would totally adopt him if I weren't in Northern Canada. Kisses to dear little man kitty.
ReplyDeleteOooohh! Sweet little guy. I hope he finds his family soon. We have 3 black kitties (a boy and two girls) and their mama, and we love them all. Black kitties are the best!
ReplyDeleteIf I wasn't an ocean away (UK) I'd take him now. He is such a sweetheart.
ReplyDeleteHope he finds the home he deserves.
Average Jane is right - the little black kitties have the toughest time finding just the right homes. Maybe it's because they're lacking in "flash". They certainly aren't lacking in personality.
ReplyDeleteMy 3 black kitty girls send pounces and catnip mice to Cornelius. Soon he'll find his forever home.
I have a black kitty-man, and he's the best. He has the best personality of all 4 of my cats. I love black kitties. I hope Cornelius finds a home soon.
ReplyDeleteOhhhhhh, I am so happy for the girls, although it's a little bittersweet - I do hope we will get regular updates.
ReplyDeleteI have no doubt that Cornelius will find his perfect home very soon. He's such a lovely boy.
We're so glad to learn the kitties are getting new homes. Cornelius is so cute. We know someone special is waiting for him.
