The Last Day with the Girly-Girls

DSC_1644.JPG
Yesterday was our last day with Lottie and Willamena. I'll tell you the whole story in days to come. We're all a little drained after saying goodbye so many times this week. I don't think I have the energy to tell the tale right this second. For now, I'll share with you some pictures of their last day. I love how girly they look on the pink bedspread. ( which was a gift from Sue. Thanks again Sue!)

Willamena and Lottie really seemed to be savoring the last moments they had together. They stayed very close to each other all day long.

  1. Lottie and Willamena - I'm so glad you found your forever homes. Just know that we (all of your friends in IttyBitty land) will always love you and we send you best wishes for a wonderful life.

The hubby and I will miss you terribly. Lottie - I fell in love with you even tho' we are divided by a whole country and gazillions of electrons. A virtual kiss on your beautiful little face. Willamena - the same on your beautiful little feets. If I didn't live a continent away honeys, I would have begged to adopt you both. You are already adopted in my heart.

Laurie, Sue et al - God bless you for the work you do. May His peace bring you healing for the empty space left by the babies adoption. Just think - you've done an amazing thing. You've saved 4 lives in just this set alone! What a wondeful thing.

    Have a Merry Christmas.

    Love - Catmama and Hubby

  2. Catmama and hubby - Thank you for the kind words. These girls were fostered by Laurie and Kim. I'm afraid my only role was as admirer. They did a fabulous job.

  4. Once again, such beautiful pictures for us to see and be able to revisit these babies we've all come to love. I'll look forward to hearing about the day when you feel up to it. Take a deep breath, relax a little, and know how much we all admire your work.

  5. The girls are breathtakingly beautiful...I fell for Willamena the first time I saw her. It's so sad to see these last pictures of her, but I know her new mom and dad must be filled with joy right now, getting to know her. I send hugs and kisses to her, wherever she is. I hope she has another kitty to snuggle with. Have a happy life, little Willa!

And may God bless you abundantly for being such loving foster parents!

  6. One of the hardest things for me is seeing them go to different homes. What a lovely last day together they had, though.

  7. Yes, that would be a hard week! Saying good-bye to just one is hard.

  8. Those babies go to their new homes fairly SOAKED in love...first from you blessed fostermoms and second from all of us, worldwide, who adore every soft whisker, every warm ear, every pink little toe. Your sharing them with us before their adoption is the sweetest thing and SO appreciated. Bonne Chance in your new Forever Homes, darling girls!!

  9. The fifth picture from last--with Lottie's paw on Willamena--it's as if she is saying, don't worry my little friend, you will always be in my heart...

And I will leave it at that.

    Merriest of Christmases to you.

  10. This is an especially poignant photo-essay.

No one can say enough thank-yous for the love and care these fur-babies received.

And allowing the rest of us to share in the experience is a different kind of warm, purring fuzzy than I wake up to every day!

May purrs abound for you -
Loves to all - furred or not!
