Sweet Thing
When we first get a new batch of kittens, we concentrate on their exteriors and try to find the distinguishing marks that help us identify each one. It's always nice when you can move past that and focus on their personalities. Now that I am getting to know Fergus, I am seeing what a sweet little boy he is. He's curled up under my chin right now. He abandoned his basket full of siblings, scaled the couch, and then climbed up on me. His little motor is running strong. Sometimes he'll perch on my knee cap and just sit quietly, watching the world around him. He does the same to Craig. He spends plenty of time socializing with the other IBKs, but when it's time to chill,, he picks a person. He's such a sweet little fellow.

Aw, look at those pretty eyes!
ReplyDeleteHe is just a little fluffbucket of adorableness.
ReplyDeleteNothing in this world beats the feeling you get when the kitty picks you!
ReplyDeleteFergus. Oh, Fergus. You had my heart at first sight. My intuition was right, you are a real lovey!
ReplyDeleteomagod a Fergus.
ReplyDeleteRead my blog at the very begiinning to see my Fergus story. December of 2005
warning it is sad.
I find it interesting how your IBKC photos warm my heart and yet make it ache terribly at the same time. Each and every IBKC photo makes me melt. I have to confess that sometimes I pop in several times in a day to look at these photos.
ReplyDeleteI fostered a mama and kittens last year but it didn't go so well with my 3 male perma cats. They were unhappy and depressed so I promised them I wouldn't do that to them again. I so long for the pitty pat of baby kitties scampering through the house. Thank you a million times for filling that empty space in my heart(even if it does make me a bit jealous!)
EEEE! Fergus - what a lovely lamb you are! You make me want to snorgle you!
ReplyDeleteAwww. I love kitties who do that! *melts, snuggles Fergus*
ReplyDeleteI just read about little bernadette, and I am so sorry! Fergus and all the other IBKs are sweet as punch. But it's gotta hurt like heck to lose a little sweetie.
ReplyDeleteFergus - keep on keeping an eye on your world! There is lots a-happenin' around you!
ReplyDeleteI skritch behind you little ears, if my 2 fur-babies aren't watchin'.
Aw, Fergus... FUR-gus... Purr-gus!
ReplyDeleteWhat a face! And look at those paw-knuckles! He'll have a bit of size!!
ReplyDeleteMy Willem chose me that way. The only kitten out of a double litter of 18 or so to leave the group, and creep up onto me with all of his 5 week old strength! Plus the only long hair, how could I leave him behind?
My faithful one, you saved my life several times over. I miss you so.
