Wow! Aerial view of the itty bitties, makes it much easier to see how different they are in color. I assume it took some acrobatics to get these pics...
Which one of the dark boys is the one with distinct stripes running along the spine? And whiter splodges at the neck? That looks really cute!
And the Oscar for best cinematography, direction, art direction, film editing, and cutest kitties in the world goes to: LAURIE! It's a Bernadette's-eye-view!
Oh Anne Boleyn: "Bernadette'eye's View"......aww, yeah.... And Laurie? In case you're keeping track, THIS ONE! COVER OF THE BOOK! Or...tell you what, I was thinking of packs of eight assorted cards? There are going to have to be some (THIS ONE THIS ONE) where you can get eight *identical* cards. Oh, and put me on the "reserve me four packs" list please, and when your book tour starts (hint hint) let me know that too. Hate to nag, my dear, but -- well no, I don't hate to nag. Think on't. :-)
This is lovely--how did you take the photograph? I picture you up on a ladder above the hungry kitties. Also--what kind of camera do you use to get your photos? As I struggle to capture my kittens who always end up turned away or with their eyes closed, I somehow imagine you have a great camera with a special 'extra fuzzy kitten fur' setting. Enlighten us!
oh please, it doesn't get more staged than these photos. Those poor kittens are just pawns in some crazy game that I am just begining to learn about, but will never understand. Is there no end these people will not go to for what could possibly be world kitten domination? They are just baby pussycats, for the love of god!
Just make it stop.
All right everyone, settle down now. I'm joking here! I loves me some babies.
glad you all enjoyed the feeding frenzy! i wish you could all see them in action. their little dinner dance is hilarious.
FYI to help you identify them all, in the fith photo down, from left to right: Fergus, Auggie, Clementine, LeRoy and Porter.
anne bryant- how'd you know,,yes i was giggling.
anne boleyn,, i still have to fight the urge to put out dinner for six.
mari - that's fergus
anon,, i just leaned over and shot the pictures. no ladders involved. i use a nikon d-40, which i absolutely love. my tricks: - always shoot in natural light - no flash, ever. - take lots of shots, edit down to a few. - always have camera on and near. - have cute kittens to photograph - stop shooting if it's annoying the subject. - don't try to pose them, let them do their thing.
So now I'm still in love with my precious Porter, so back off Evy (just kidding, sort of), and reading Laurie's answers to all our questions makes me want to hug her even more than I already did. It's such a better world because of this blog!
Oh, I love this! So cute! The little dishes are adorable and to see the progression of who eats from which bowl is priceless. The tarp is great, too!

ReplyDeleteIt's like kitty Brownian motion - they start out all orderly, and pretty soon entropy rules and they become all random.
