I don't think Lilliane has caught on -- she's a brown tabby, and every time I look at those precious Mayfields I rush in and kiss all over her face and rub her nose and smooth her little "M" and cuddle her (say, she's not e-mailing you to put up even more pictures, is she?)
Oh LeRoy!!! Whatta cutie you are! I just want to pick you up and snorgle you! And for your mommy: how do you take such great pictures??? Most of the ones I take for Penny are so blah... They don't express her cuteness at all. She always manages to look startled or sleepy.
OK. Today I'm going to practice not being overwhelmed by the cuteness of the Mayfields. Wait a minute! Why waste my time with that when I can just give in to the cuteness!
I think it's time I commented on these adorable baby kitties! It's me, Shana Banana! Kitty Adoption Counselor at the shelter! For those of you who haven't met the wonderful ladies who care for these IBK's, you don't know what you're missing. They're amazing, kind, gentle and most of all they have hearts of gold. The sad part for me is that I don't get to meet the IBK's, they don't step foot in the Cattery. But I feel like I know them all through the IBKC. Thanks, ladies, for all you do for these adorable babies.
Hey, Shana Banana! A big hats off & thank you too, for what you do for the other kitties at the shelter. It would be interesting to know how many you have at home. Kisses for the older kitties who need new forever homes when life deals them a blow. They are all blessed to have you working for them as are the IBKs. As for the Committee women, out here in IBKC groopieville we are in awe.
Thanks, Anne, for your support. I wish I could say that I had a house full of my own IBKs but instead, I have the world's most amazing husband who happens to be allergic to kitties. But I make up for it by getting my "kitty fix" at the shelter. It's my dream job, I can't imagine doing anything else. If you're in the Tacoma-area, stop by sometime! You're all welcome to visit our big kitties who need a lap to warm and a chin to rub.
...and we love Shana Banana! The kitties at the HS could not have a better advocate. Please support or volunteer for your local shelter! There are wonderful people there and the critters need you.
