It's the eve of the departure of the last of the Mayfields, Porter and Clementine. In honor of this , I present to you a selection of never before seen pics of the Mayfield Six. Enjoy !
Honestly, I dont' see how you do it -- every single new picture or batch of pictures is sweeter than the one before; I'd have thought you hit criical mass ages ago. It's like betting the Best Present Ever every single day! (By which I guess I just mean "THANKS" again!)
Oh Dear Heaven. And goodbye you beautiful babies. St. Bernadette is always watching over you and those you love. Now I'm going to the grocery store and will try not to have a good cry as I go.
misfit,,, i can't take full credit for that shot. sue captured her kittens ( the holsteins) peeking under her door first. she inspired me to take this shot.
Oh my LORD! The under the door peeking just about mortally wounded me with an overdose of preciousness.
Funny thing. The Mayfields finding their forever families feels like that bittersweet joy of watching a two legged baby graduate from kindergarten to elementary school. So happy that they are growing into the wonderful adults they will one day become, and so sad they won't be babies forever.
Lauri - what a gift you have for photographing the precious little ones. I am constantly awed. My husband and I have made this blog a can't-wait daily ritual. Thank you for sharing.
Anne Boleyn and Solange Han-Barthelemy - I'm so glad I wasn't the only one weeping over the beautiful pic of sweet Bernadette. What a very special little angel huh?
Bye-bye, babies! You're all so adorable...I know you'll be happy in your new homes and loved to pieces! Hopefully your new parents will update us with occasional pictures.
Take care, little kitties. Our hearts go with you, and your sister watches over you! Love and enjoy your new families and thank you, and Laurie, for letting us get to know - and love - you all!
Thank you for the gorgeous pixies Laurie! You have truly inspired me with your immense love for the IBKCs. I cannot imagine parting with such wonders though. They will surely be missed!
