This picture of the exquisite Twyla atop a stack of books that's much higher than she is tall is pure art. Thomas Pynchon's, Against The Day, is on the the top of the Stack. Twyla sits there with the ultimate pouty Pickett face as if to say,"Why would anyone want to be against the day when she can be on top of the stack?
Laurie, Are the Picketts staying with you now? I'm so curious as to how you and Kim decided to handle fostering them with dear, sweet Beulah still in the picture?
Again, it strikes me how small the kittens really are still - I bet getting on top of that mountain took a bit of climbing for little Twyla. But the views probably are worth it. :)
Clearly her "good side"! Straight on is the best way to enjoy that face (I'm always so delighted by those beautiful divided faces!) Imagine reading Pynchon at her age - give that baby "Lord of the Rings!"
Awww. I just got around to reading all the comments on this post, and I'm meeeelting! I'm a serious bookworm myself, and I love tricolor kitties; it'd be a match made in heaven if I weren't several states away. I can just see little Twyla curled up on top of a stack of Braille books, reading the dots with her paws. Extra toes aren't just for getting in to trouble anymore! :)
Ooooooo How cute is that???
ReplyDeleteSweet calico Twyla - Have you read all of those books?
she's still working her way through thomas pynchon. it has lots of big words so she has to take it slow and sound things out.
ReplyDeleteI bet she has a very sweet voice to read with!
ReplyDeleteBut my girls are getting anxious for their kibble - Good night Twyla & the rest of your household!
Thanks so much for this awesome site Laurie - your heart must overflow daily!

ReplyDeleteTwyla should live in a library, or a mansion with a library. Curl up with a good book and a good kitten.
