Are you almost done in there? Come on Charlene, it's my turn now. Mom,,Charlene won't share the tent with me. Fine, whatever,, it's all yours now. This isn't exactly what I had in mind.
I bought this for my kitty (on your recommendation!) She sits in it, if you're not in the room. If you come in, she hops out and acts like she was never in it in the first place!
How do you do it, Laurie? I can't believe those cats don't speak English; I HAVE cats, so I know they're not "trained".....plus you get better and better, which (by my reckoning) is hardly possible!!
What a great Monday morning chuckle! Oh but cats do speak their own language. Once you get the cat-to-human dictionary, it's pretty easy to understand what they are saying. Or do we understand because our minds are controlled by the kitty rays?
This is a series with the Ikea "cat house" at its center. Charlene is sitting in the house and Twyla's sitting at the door, head tilted, looking longingly at the Charlene-blocked entry. Next shot: same positions but Twyla's looking at Laurie (off camera) and Charlene is too, with an expression that says, "Are you really going to listen to this whiney-butt?" In the next picture Charlene is stomping across the rug in a huff. Last shot: tiny Twyla sitting on the collapsed cat house looking slightly forlorn. Laurie's captions are perfect translation.
Well, Butterbean. Don't you worry. I sometimes don't want to share my toys either!
My orange boy loves his tent. My girl will have nothing to do with it. I've looked into the den to see the little tent look like it was scooting all by itself across the bamboo flooring when Azzy was hiding and in full form inside his tent. What's good about the tent is that it keeps the boy occupied and us girls from being the center of the boys attention. Whew!
OMG, this series has it all. Twyla and her famous head tilt (only Charlene could resist this extreme angle), the fabulous Charlene Butterbean, and Laurie's preternaturally-perfect narration.
And if all that weren't enough, the series itself is a riot. I love seeing Charlene in full stride. She's such a gorgeous girl and we usually only see her laying down cuddling or bathing an itty bitty one. The last photo is adorable; poor disappointed Twyla, after waiting all that time to get the kitty tent she's left with a deflated pile of nylon. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
