Congratulations to sweet Ruth Anne! 2 pounds, that's the magic mark! You've graduated to official cat-hood!
Yay for big kitties Burton (3 years) & Ralph (6 years) who found their forever homes yesterday! Big Burton Boy was almost too big for his carrier! I think Lovell is following in Burton's oversized pawprints!
I have a few pictures up of the ones I emailed you about. they aren't good pictures, but at least you can see them...and it is just three of them...I just couldn't get all five.
Oh oh -- watch out for Ruth Anne; she could knock you right over! Oh, they ARE so sweet....!! As I write, Lilliane is curled up against me dozing (she's OUR "paschkudnik"); how sweet they look sleeping. I think she weighs 7 lbs. Evangeline? Well....she's a soiled dove, all the treats go right to her hips. Runs in the family, what can I say?
My Ginger Boy weighs in at 14.5 pounds. He's long and tall and not a bit overweight. When I adopted him, the shelter swore up and down he was 9 weeks. When I took him to my Vet to give him the once over, she said he was only a very big 6 weeks. He's just a very big boy!
Good things come in little packages, as demonstrated by Ruth Ann. Of course, big kitties like Lovell and Burton are the loveable exceptions to that rule! This news is kinda bittersweet - soon the Picketts will be snipped and clipped and headed for their wonderful Forever Homes.
Yeah Shana! Congrats to Burton, Ralph and their forever parents. I adopted my "Big Chester Boy" when he was six... just lotsa kitteh to love! All 18 pounds of him!
And congrats to lil Ms Ruth Anne! You're a big girl now. I've got two full grown ladies who are at the other end of the spectrum... just an ounce or two over 7 lbs. And guess what? They keep big bruiser Chester in line, just fine!
Awww. A spunky little calico (she is the calico one, isn't she?) and a big orange teddybear. yay! And Nadine and twyla somewhere in the middle, I'm guessing. *cuddles them all, including Momkitty Beulah Mae torbie*
Chanter, you're right, Ruth Anne is a calico, mostly black and splotchy with the biggest bat ears you can imagine, and fabulous white whiskers that almost look like fiber optic whiskers. She's so adorable! And then there's big boy Lovell who needs no description because of all the marmie memories he has evoked from us groupies.
Congrats Ruth Anne - such a big personality in a little body (although if she knew that her reward would be a surgery she might have decided to gain that weight a little slower :)
Fierce little Ruth Ann is a very contemplative young lady in this photo. I suspect she's planning how to write up the operation in her memoirs. Mewmoirs?
Lovell is poised to Pounce Something. He's slender, so unlike many large kitties, he can honestly say that it's all muscle. I love the contrast between his soft orange coloring and fur and his poised body.
I think Lovell has been absorbing growth energy from his siblings as he seems to let all his sibs lay on him so he can "rob" them ...... he feeds on their energy adorable big 'n' cuddly soft-marmy boy.
Thjre are SO many pictures of the other Pickett kits draped over him....
HOOOORAY Ruth Ann! Soon you won't be able to make any spare kitty parts...as a friend of mine calls it...
BOOOOO\YAAAAAY for the Picketts growing up and leaving IBKC land... ]]whimper[[
Ruth Anne, sweet little morsal of a kitty, I just know you are going to grow into those paws!
ReplyDeleteGood lord, Lovell! Did you get into the Miracle Grow? As they say here in Texas, are you on the show feed boy? He's pure d corn fed!
Just goes to show what beyond wonderful care they are receiving at what I call the Nirvana on Earth for the kitty kind.

I can't wait to see how big Lovell gets!
Growing like weeds, they are! Must be all that loving care they get from mama Beulah and their wonderful human foster parents!
ReplyDeleteHorray, it's time for a celebration!!! She's graduated!
ReplyDeleteShana-wonderful for Burton and Ralph!! Now it's time for Mickey Kitty, Markie and Kitty to find their forever homes!!!

Ruth Anne, you delightful morsel of fuzz, those whiskers are fabulous.
ReplyDeleteAs for Lovell, well, three pounds is just "sturdy", that's it Lovell, you be sturdy and proud!
Well, 3 pounds is the perfect size for being a kitten mattress, you see.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how fast they've grown up! *snif!*
