wahhooo.. 2more in the Pettibone family..Agnes is soooo cute..really want to snuggle with her. I wonder how many more Laurie will introduce to us..Are there many more in the Pettibone family to come??? How are those 3 new kitties get along with Twyla? - Jeanne
I think Agnes is *so* very pretty that she could even change the spelling of her name to Agyness (in honour of up-and-coming British supermodel Agyness Deyne). ;D
Laurie, I can't wait to hear the Pettibone story! Do the girls have brothers? Were they born in the same litter? Please, please, please tell more... the suspense is killing me ;-)
You know..some people like the tabloids, others are news junkies...but the IBKC is my favorite internet "newspaper.." - these new additions are darling... Does anyone but me think that little "pout mouth" is the cutest thing ever!?
Sweet Agnes, your pouty, sweet smile is adorable - but what is so funny? You dilute torties can be such a sweetly odd group. My Marbles is a medium hair dilute tortie - and what a goof!
I be it is us humans and how we ooh and aahhh over you!
You and the other Pettibones are already so mature looking, I do hope we will have a bit of time to get to know y'all!
Tell us more, Laurie - tell us their story (if it is known).
New IBKs!!! Yay!!! And yes, littermates do often have different daddies. When kittens come into the shelter, we often find a siamese/birman-mix (or two) in the bunch. But none as cute as Charlene Butterbean.
I miss my big shelter kitties very much, so I had to swing by the shelter yesterday for my "kitty fix." And WOW, lots of my favorite biggies have been adopted over the past two weeks! Big, big YAYs for sweet and gentle Miss Kitty ~ she was at the shelter a whole month before finding her new forever home. I hope it was worth the wait!
chanter, please forgive my bumbling ignorance and kitty curiosity, but I've noticed that some very lovely descriptive comments have been explicitly for you. Are you not able to view the itty bitties? Have a blessed day, Rebecca
My Potter and Beatrix are litter brother and sister. Potter is a "flame point Siamese" with very blue eyes. Beatrix is a pastel (or dilute) tortie with yellow/green eyes. They are both talkers like my purebred Siamese were. I think the Siamese traits have become pretty dominant, but I'm no geneticist. Rebecca, Chanter revealed to us a while back that she cannot see the IBKs so we have vied for the honor of describing them to her. That's another one of many reasons that this is the best place on the planet. Chanter, I hope you don't mind my butting in here.
Awen- HAPPY (belated) BIRTHDAY TO YOOOOOOU!!! I was speechless yesterday, struck dumb by Renatta's beauty (I do love me some Siamese-y babies) - and today Mistress Agnes. Friends, do you not agree with me when I say - the only thing NEARLY as cute as our Laurie's pictures of our precious itty-bitties are the *names* that she gives not only each kitten but the brilliant surnames? Like ya'll, I come here FIRST every day (and first each time I log on, either to admire the pictures again or see if there might be a new one). It's a nice outlet for the kittylove that spills over when my own are filled to the eartips with love (at which point they usually give me "the LOOK" and stalk off, pointedly showing me their little 'rosebuds'). {grin}
she is beyond gorgeous.... if only i was on the west coast (nyc here) and were able to have a cat (nyc again). ive been visiting this site for quite awhile and shes the first one i have REALLY fallen for (granted all of them are beyond cute!!)
ann boleyn, thank you for the kind explanation. I find that the exquisite descriptions given for chanter add even more to the kitty pics. I always go back to gaze at the ittie bitties after reading the lovely descriptions. :)
I just want to take Agnes and Rosalie home... but I am sure my four cats would not take too kindly to the idea of sharing human laps with yet two other furries...
I'm sure these ladies and their siblings will find the best of homes thanks to you :)
Rebecca, guilty as charged. I'm the resident blind as a bat crazy catlady. :) I have a fair idea of colors and patterns, so descriptions work for me where pictures can't.
She's so subtly beautiful, her tortie being very dilute, it seems. And her eyes are almost the same color she is. A darling!
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS. I'd do nothing all day but snuggle with them!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness. I think she is one of the most beautiful kitties I have EVER seen. Wow.
ReplyDeleteAn absolutely stunning baby girl. Her sisters are beautiful too. They are scrumptious additions to the IBKC.

Welcome to Rosalie, Renatta and Agnes!

Precious. So much like my Posey cat. If I lived on the other side of the country, I'd be tempted to make Agnes her new baby sister!
ReplyDeleteOh, Miss Agnes-you are just so sweet!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the IBKC!
Robin

Fetch me my smelling salts! I'm faint from Agnes' beautiful Tortitude! Would you like to come to the farm, too?
ReplyDeleteShe is so sweet! Love the new additions.
ReplyDeleteAgnes looks very sweet!

Happy Birthdays to Anne B & Awen!!
Its the little pink dot.
ReplyDeleteDo my eyes deceive me or is there a little pink dot on Miss Agnes' nose?
That's like the dot of the whole exclamation point that Agnes is. She is so lovely and her colors are amazing.
Ooooh, Agnes sounds lovely. Dilute tortie colors+a purry disposition=doll kitty! *cuddles*
ReplyDeletechanter, please forgive my bumbling ignorance and kitty curiosity, but I've noticed that some very lovely descriptive comments have been explicitly for you. Are you not able to view the itty bitties?
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed day,
Rebecca
Wow, these are some gorgeous kittens! I love the blue green eye color of Agnes. How can a Siamese be in the same litter with tortoiseshells?
ReplyDeleteI have a tortie, and I find her pattern endlessly beautiful. I never knew they came in a muted (dilute) version.

ReplyDeleteHer fur looks so soft - I just want to snorgle her!!!! What a sweetie!
A wonderful family, Laurie, whether a litter or blended. I look forward to hearing their story!
ann boleyn, thank you for the kind explanation. I find that the exquisite descriptions given for chanter add even more to the kitty pics. I always go back to gaze at the ittie bitties after reading the lovely descriptions. :)
ReplyDeleteOoh, ANOTHER dilute tortie! Just when I was starting to miss the other ones. Yay!
ReplyDeleteAwww, she is very lovely and has a fine namesake. You're right, she is quite a lot like Miss Frida.
ReplyDeleteThose Pettibones are such BEAUTIES!

ReplyDeleteChanter, you crack me up!
ReplyDeletePlease make sure this one is on my previous to go order of 2 Torties, being sent to Boston to Alicia and Tony.
ReplyDeleteHopeful Grammee
