Kitty Profile: Twyla Pickett
Name: Twyla Pickett
Nickname: They usually just call me Twyla or "Hi Beautiful"
Describe yourself in 20 words or less: I am a sweet, well poised and graceful little girl.
Favorite toy: Today it's my crinkly mylar ball. Yesterday it was a grocery store receipt. The day before that it was a shoelace. I just work with what I've got.
Dislikes: Bunny kicks to the belly delivered by brother Lovell or chomps to my tail from Ruth Anne. I have no issues with Nadine. She's my best friend.
Dream-home: I could go just about anywhere as long as they are serving heaping helpings of love. I would prefer a kitty playmate, but if it's just humans in your house, and you have enough time to keep me entertained, I'd be OK with that.
An interesting fact about me If I give you the famous Twyla head tilt and gaze, I can make you do whatever I want. Let's give it a try.... OK, ready? Now fall in love with me. See! It works!!
Why should you adopt me? Well,,, if you have to ask... just take a good look at me! Have you ever seen so much loveliness stuffed into a two and a half pound package? If you promise to adore me forever, I'll vow to do the same to you. I'm a very faithful friend.
Any interested parties, who can offer this kitten a lifetime of love, please send us an email !

She is such a beautiful kitty, I can't believe she doesn't have a home yet. I wish we had room for one more!
ReplyDeleteAww...her BFF is Nadine? They need to go to a home together then! Have to!
ReplyDeleteHey Laurie - I'd have Twyla and Nadine if I was on the same continent as the two lovliest kittens out of this bunch of kittys.. ;)
ReplyDeleteif i wasn't 3,000 miles away i'd snatch that little baby up and give her more love than she could possibly handle!
ReplyDeleteShe is so beautiful - I wish I lived closer... I do, I do, I do...
ReplyDelete::sigh::
she. is. so. BEAUTIFUL!!!! She'll be snatched up in no time!
ReplyDeleteWell, we thought she had a home,, then the potential adopter backed out.
ReplyDeleteNo doubt she'll be snatched up soon. She's a dazzler!
Oh, if I could have a kitty right now, I would drive myself up there in a heartbeat! She's so incredibly precious. She'd get lots of snuggles and loves and kisses.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry Twyla, you'll have your new forever home soon!
And may I say that being "stuck" with the IBC and Charlene for a little while longer ain't exactly a bad thing!
ReplyDeleteMiss Twyla is going to have the most perfectly wonderful and absolutely perfect Forever Family snatch her up soon. I just feel it!
ReplyDeleteCould Nadine's adopter be gently persuaded that Nadine REALLY needs to be with Twyla?
ReplyDeleteDarlin' Twyla-
ReplyDeleteDon't fret - you'll have your Forever Family and Home soon...meanwhile, you'll have lots of love from Laurie and Company...and your on-line cheering section!
If I wasn't 300 miles away right now I would be at your door right now to take her away - she's precious and will get a wonderful home! I just wish Nadine's future parents would consider taking her so they could be together.
ReplyDeleteClearly the head-tilt works - look at all these declarations of love! (Add mine to the list, please.) It's like a lottery winner - her forever family doesn't realize they've won her yet! (Boy, you know the incredible delight they're in for?)
ReplyDeleteAdd me in on the love fest. I am sorely tempted to fly to Tacoma, Mis Twyla!
ReplyDeleteJust visited my nephew and his new bebe, 8 week old "Count Ruger," a bitty polydactyl dream sickle. Oh, but it set my heart tugging to have little paws in the house again! *sigh* Came home and loved up the gang... I'm sure they're still wondering what got into me.
I just saw the teaser for Evening Magazine! You're going to be on TV tonight!
ReplyDeleteGive her to me. Now.
ReplyDeleteIf only she could make her way to Boston... my goodness she is delectable. Smooches to you, Miss T. :)
I love her striking black eyeliner! It makes her eyes look kind of melancholy. As long as she isn't really a melancholy baby, that is.
ReplyDeleteshe really is beautiful - if we didn't live all the way across the country...
ReplyDeletehow would twyla feel about a ferret as a pal? ; )
My God, these Kitty Profiles just knock me out. I don't know how you do it, Laurie, but you capture the personalities of these kittens so perfectly it's spooky. I've been known to go back and read earlier Profiles for the pure enjoyment.
ReplyDeleteTiny Twyla, with her *famous* head tilt and mesmerizing gaze, looks like an old soul, and the family that does choose her will be very fortunate indeed.
Brava97, thanks for the head's up about Laurie's appearance on Evening Magazine. I'll be looking for it.
ReplyDeleteI think Twyla has the sweetest, most beautiful kitty face and I just want to give her smooches all over. I wish I could bring her home, but even though I live in Seattle, we already have 3 kitties and my husband has put his foot down. Whatta meanie! :(
OMG! I just saw Lovell & Ruth Anne on TV! I was flipping channels & saw kittens playing & thought, "hey, I know them."
ReplyDeleteSure enough it was IBKC.
Hopefully, they will post the video on their website

I just saw you on Evening too! I didn't know you were going to be on; I just perked up when I saw kitties and then they turned out to be the Picketts! You were all just lovely.
ReplyDeleteAnd I don't understand why Twyla hasn't been adopted either. I just adore her little patchwork coat. If my cat weren't a confirmed "only," I'd be begging you to let me have her.
How is it possible that Twyla is still available? She is so pretty and sweet!
ReplyDeleteA response to dale-harriet's earlier proposition: Yes! We meet up. grab Twyla. Hug the Committee and head for our co-parenting-of Twyla-that-can-never-be-but we-can-pretend. You're fabulous!

ReplyDeleteOh, my.
ReplyDeleteIf it weren't for living in NYC, and already having two kitties, I'd adopt her in a heartbeat.
What a face!
::snorgles her through the internet::
Twyla - Your purrsonal ad is sure to garner you many, many offers of a home.
ReplyDeletePlease do not take the change in circumstance to heart!
Plenty of love all around!
I wish I could bring a 3rd kit into my household, but I will be training a pup for Summit Assistance Dogs soon, and that will be enough change for my 13 & 11 yr old girls.
how come she is still available. she is my fave of all time. ALL TIME.
ReplyDeleteif only we lived in the same country. she has my name written all over her. i want her!
If I weren't several states away, and if my soon-to-be kitty Daisy weren't FIV positive, I'd take her. *cuddles pretty little torbie Twyla*
ReplyDeleteTwyla is my favorite! I live "across the line" north of you... Rats! She is so pretty and who ever adopts her will be lucky.
ReplyDeleteK.
Twyla's such a beauty. She's going to be a gorgeous cat when she's grown. ^_^ I'd adopt her in a heartbeat if I could!
