How funny that I just came from admiring Potter in a similar position, and must admit that I had tosnuggle my face in his tummy. I like the top picture where Lovell is curled nearly upsidedown and the beautiful Twyla is using him as a pillow. Till now I hadn't noticed that Lovell has white foot tips, like Charlene. He IS lovely, from any angle!
He truly is lovely! He's not a bright orange marmie, but very soft shades of orange, a true creamsicle. His nose and ears are pink, far beyond the levels allowed in the Kitten Cuteness Limitation Statutes to Prevent Global Human Melting. (I don't think there's a kitten in the world who actually paid attention to the statutes, so kitten proximity can still rob an otherwise articulate human of 99 percent of their vocabulary, replacing it with "ooh," "awww," and "woowoowoo" sounds.)
In the first photo, he's curled up in a C shape, with most of him on his side but his face straight up, in that kind of "bones are optional" poses that cats are so good at. Twyla's head is resting on the middle of his belly and his eyes are squeezed almost closed. He's the picture of contentment.
The second photo is a close-up of his face. His baby blue eyes are open and he has a "Watcha doing, mom?" expression on his face. He's curious but far too comfy to move.
In the third, we see him in profile and he looks as though he's contemplating some wonderful thing. He'd probably tell you that it's something nice and peaceful like getting snuggled, but there's an underlying kitten mischief that says that he could also be thinking of pouncing an unsuspecting sibling.
annf, you've got another career, if you want one! That was terrific! Hmmmm... I'm thinkin' description contest with anne b, dale-harriet and you as top contenders! ;-)
Lovey Lovell, hugs! Your cuteness quotient does far exceed perscribed levels for human safety!
Lisa
PS- Thinking of contests, d-h, did I miss your acceptance speech?
Do you think I could steal Lovely Lovell the next time he's at the shelter? Would anyone notice? He might be my second favorite marmie ever (see attached photo of my dear Bido, RIP)! Smoooooch!!!
Many, many YAYs for big kitties Train (again and this time for good), Copperfield, Tabitha and Sterling who all found their forever homes over the weekend!
ack - too cute! makes my teeth hurt... i just wanna smooch him!!!
