I withdraw my previous comment about having seen the cutest, sweetest, best pictures of kittens in existence ... before today. Because TODAY I *have* seen the cutest, sweetest and best picture. Isn't that just like our precious punkins to choose somewhere to sleep that's Just Too Small? Oh, and thanks for my new desktop picture. In fact, I think I'll just rotate these, one at a time. (File these away, please, for some future Christmas cards or something, yes?)
I'm just amazed that those two tails aren't being attacked by the other Pettibones. The others must be asleep, no kitten could resist two such wonderful dangly tails.
]]GASP[[ the cuteness - carmine and Renatta Pettiboneless are adorable.
Your Kitty-Cup runneth over, Laurie!!! How do you bear it?
Carmine lying on the left, fluidly draping a paw over the edge of the kitty cup while Renatta looks squished against the right side - in an attempt at a kitty-loaf with dangly tail position.
The 2nd shot almost looks like she is trying to get out - but is securely pinned in place by 'big' brother.
Oh, my, such absolute kitteness packed into a photograph!
Carmine, in true marmie AND brother fashion, is nearly squeezing dainty little Renata out, silly little things.
In the third photograph, Carmine's leg is sticking out and both kittens' tails are hanging out so that they barely touch the well-polished floor. Bits of the kittens are showing at the top of the basket.
In the fourth photo, Carmine's leg is back in the basket and we don't see anything much in the photo but the basket and its two dangling tails. Now each of them is definitely partially on the floor, and it looks as if the tails should twitch, the floor would get an extra polishing.
It's a very joyous series of photos, somehow, perhaps because it's all too easy to imagine Laurie snickering her head off at taking the kind of kitten photos that, if the kittens were human, would be perfect blackmail material in their teen years.
And in honor of this cutie patootie, I named a big kitty after him! He's in the lobby at the shelter, and such a handsome boy, 5 years old and a heart-breaker.
What a great day ~ I got to meet Sue's babies! They're BIG and also cuties.
Plus ~ TONS of big kitty adoptions today, including Josie & Pierre (4 year old littermates who were left at the shelter after their owners moved and chose to not take them with), Gator (bless his heart, he's the scruffiest bad boy in town), Winnie (beautiful and gentle) and Radcliff (handsome flame point). And a family found their lost cat! I have my dream job.
One correction ~ that crazy busy day earlier this week with 77 animals coming into the shelter ~ make that 107 animals. 77 were brought in my people in the community, and 30 from Animal Control. UGH! Still, it's my dream job and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

ReplyDeleteNow, this is the way I like to start my day! Those tails are amazing - and lttle girls head falling out of the basket -- OMG. Fabulous!!!

I can't believe this actually exists! I'm definitely going to post a cat picture after seeing this!

ReplyDeleteAdorable floppiness!
ReplyDeleteIncidentally, I think I have a crush on Carmine...
OMG, tell us you posed those tails! They couldn't have just aligned them like that! That's just cruel.
ReplyDeleteCarmine's tuna habit is making him take up too much room in the basket, methinks.
ReplyDeleteOMG melting carrot tails! Possibly the greatest cat photo of all time? Nah, I'm sure another will be along momentarily to reset the record.
