Kitty Profile: Hiram Fairchild

DSC_0159
His sister, Mary Liza, has found her home, but dear little Hiram is still on the search for his. Any fabulous folks in need of a little orange boy, please send us an email today!

Thanks goes to his foster mama Sue, for writing this lovely profile of the boy.

Name: Hiram Fairchild
Describe yourself in 20 words or less: Sweet like a slice of peach pie. A fat slice. A la mode. Habit forming.
What are your hobbies? I do like a rousing game of “chase whatever’s rolling around on the floor”. It needn’t be a kitty toy. Did you drop something? Forget to sweep? Great!
Favorite toy: Anything I can run in and out of – like those tunnel things. What a blast!
Dislikes: The amount of time it takes the human to get the canned food onto the dish. It really could be quicker. Oh, and I really don’t like to be by myself much.
Dream-home: I would ask please that I have a kitty playmate. A young one would be swell, but a frisky adult is just fine.
An interesting fact about me: I’m so busy you may not believe I’m a cuddler. But just wait til it’s nap time. Then hold me up close to your neck. I’ll get those slow, blinky eyes… Purrrr…..
Minor Imperfection: My manners are a bit lacking at mealtime. I can be a bit verbose, if you get my meaning. I’ll work on that.
Why should you adopt me? Because I’m a love. I’ve got a big ol’ case of that orange kitty sweetness. Dee-lish!

  4. Oh gracious me.

If I lived even fifty miles away I would snatch up this little boy.

I just KNOW there is someone that will love Hiram and give him the best forever home on the planet.

  5. He would love living at my house - we've got an automatic kitty feeder! Delivers the food precisely at 6:30 am, no meowing required! If only I didn't live in Georgia =/

  6. I would love to give you a home sweety! I have a 2 year old boy that needs a playmate (he picks on his sister all the time and she doesn't always appreciate it). We could use a case of the orange crazies! Too bad I live so so far away or I'd scoop you up Mr. Blue Eyes! :)

  11. Holly and Red - Hiram's sis is actually going to live with my sis and her 2 year old kitty, Felix. I'm thrilled she's staying in the family and confident that adorable little Hiram will find an equally loving home. Thanks for caring about him!

  18. Thinking thoughts of you, sweet little hungry man! Your fellow marmalade kitty, Jonah, sends his best and definitely feels for you - it DOES take WAY too long to get that gushy fud out of that can!!!

    p.s. He's a talker too!

  19. viabloomington - me too. I wonder what apartments cost there? I'm ALWAYS so tempted to buy the local newspaper and check out apartments, jobs, &c. BUT....we'll just have to enjoy Hiram through the heart of whichever local resident happens to be lucky enough to find Hiram!

  24. Little Hiram (we now call him "Billy the Kitten") has joined our gang and found his forever home with us. We are quite smitten with him. His new older brother Thomas is spending every moment watching over him and this morning they have played a few quick games of tag between snacks and naps. Older sister Ella is interested but wary of this high velocity fuzz ball and brother Jake is horrified that he is no longer the baby in the family although he is enjoying the left over kitten kibble crumbs that Billy leaves behind in his dish. Thanks to all of you for your good wishes and especially to foster mom Sue and all of the IBKC for nurturing these adorable little beings.

  25. Laura and Roger...Thank you so much for the update on your little Billy! It's this kind of story that we wait to hear from our adopters. He and Thomas will no doubt be a dynamic duo - the others may need some special tlc from mom and pop for a bit. But I know in my heart that you will all live happily ever after in that kitty spa you call home. Hooray!
