Plotting Pettibones
OK Alvie, when the door opens, run over there and distract her by rolling over on your back. Start purring and making air biscuits. That gets 'em every time.
Now Virgil, wait a couple of seconds, go sit on the rug and start making noises like you're going to throw up. If you can't do that, make it look like you're going to go pee. Either will do. When she runs over to you, I will make a dash for the kitchen. I know there's tuna in there. I could smell it this morning. I promise I'll eat enough for all three of us. Ready,, now here she comes...

hahahahahaha!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the morning giggle! Go get 'em, babies!!
ReplyDeleteIn the first photo, the two buff boys, Alvie and Carmine, are commiserating while Virgil sits beside them looking a bit aloof. Next, Alvie and Carmine are still thinking things through but Virgil, blue eyes wide in shock, cannot believe they are suggesting that he pretend to pee outside the lines. Not now. Not ever. Not even for tuna.... especially since there's no tuna in this plan for him or for Alvie. Nice try, Carmine!
ReplyDeleteGo get 'em Pettibones! More tuna for all!
ReplyDeleteThese kittens REALLY make me wish my husband wasn't allergic to kitties! They are the most perfect little boys!
ReplyDeleteI'm getting a senst that these boys will have to be adopted as a team.
ReplyDeleteThat's it you Pettibones, you keep Laurie on her toes!
ReplyDeleteaaahhhhh soooo cute... go get the tuna little kitties...chase Laurie till she give you some..
ReplyDeleteMy cat Adventure goes crazy for tuna..he even lick the hole in the sink!!! -- Jeanne
At our house, the juice from the tuna can is the kitty treat called "Tuna Colada". Perhaps that's what Charlene is high on in the other picture?
ReplyDeleteHaha anna boleyn... Tuna Colada! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI love the conniving look on Virgil's face in the first one... he's getting into the idea and seeing it happen. And then in the second one you see the moment that he realizes Carmine will be the only one to get to eat the tune. No way, José, Carmine!
Virgil's expression is like -
ReplyDeleteWAITAMINUTE!! Just wait...You mean to tell me that WE don't get ANY tuna?
What kind of a brother **are** you????!!!!!????
And sweet Carmine, just listening & mew-sing along like .... yeaahhhh .....biscuits are like, fun and stuff!
Virgil - you will have to work harder, your brothers are on to you!
Alvie looks like he's considering it but I think Virgil is shocked that there's no tuna in it for him.
ReplyDeleteHmm. I think we're all going to have to help keep an eye on the scheming Carmine... especially Charlene! Have they met yet, Laurie?
ReplyDeleteOh, I don't know.
ReplyDeleteI think (by Virgil's expression) that he is attempting some sort of psychic mind control. Don't look directly in his eyes! Don't do it!
HA! You go, boys! That's hilarious. :D
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the Pettibone boys are filling in the shoes of sweet Mr. Lovell Pickett! You've got your hands full, Laurie!
ReplyDeleteSomebody must have left a copy of "The Dangerous Book for Boys" around, because Carmine looks like he's up to something. Poor Virgil, he's so sweet he can't imagine such a naughty plan!
ReplyDeleteI think Carmine is going to be a real instigator...
ReplyDeleteand Alvie and Virgil are just realizing the grand scope of his mischief!
Charlene, you may want to check out the bourbon supply - make sure there's enough for both you and Laurie (and no, you can't give any to the kitten-boys to slow them down!)
One of the best parts of these two photos is that you can really see the difference in their eyes. The buff boys have a muddy blue around the outside of their eyes but closer to their pupils it's turning into a buffier more tan color. Virgil, though, his eyes are truly baby blue!
ReplyDeleteIs it just me, or does Carmine look a bit larger than his two brothers? Has he pulled this tuna caper before?
You're going to have your hands full Laurie :)
ReplyDeleteMischievious little guys!
ReplyDeleteOh, yeah. These boys are Trouble. Itty bitty, precious, furry purry Trouble. This is gonna be fun.
ReplyDeleteAnd dogmom, about being allergic to kitties - that's what allergy shots were invented for. My husband and I are both allergic and have asthma, but with proper meds, we live very well with our three cats.
Can't. Stop. Laughing.
ReplyDeleteOMG - they are soooo cute!
Must have Pettibone boys!
OMW!!!! Look at that little knowing grin on Virgil's face, too cute! He definitely looks like he's up to something with Alvie and Carmine!
ReplyDeletePS - Laurie, what does "making air biscuits" mean? Our whole family can't figure out that one.
ReplyDeleteanna,,, we ( and i don't think we're alone her) call it "making biscuits" when cats "knead" you with their paws. air biscuits are when they just stretch, and retract their claws in air as if they we're kneading something imaginary.
ReplyDeleteahh I see- in our house it's called lovey (although I think I like the IBKC's name better).
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of air biscuits, we had a marvelous kitten at the shelter who was notorious for kneading anything he could get his little paws on (even the air). So I named him Baker! When he was adopted, his new family kept the name because it fit him so well.
ReplyDeleteGo, kittens, go!!
And big big YAYs for Abby Girl who is on her way to kitty rescue, after spending over a month at the shelter. I adore that girl, all 18 pounds of her. She deserves the bestest forever home. (Many thanks to Val & Venus for helping with her rescue, you two are amazing!)
Oh the eyes on those Pettibones...
ReplyDeleteThey are all so beautiful!
Ooooh you naughty sweeties!!! Snorgles and scritchies to all the darlin boys!
ReplyDeleteI love Virgil's sneaky look in the top pic... :D
ReplyDeleteI think that Virgil is one of the most adorable little guys! His sweet little face reminds me of my Newmie. *cuddles for Virgie*
