It's going to be fun to see how much darker his "points" get as he grows. My Potter looks like a creamsicle with deeper orange sherbet points. These guys are show stoppers but, in Potter's case, he's so lucky to have his sister, Beatrix (who looks much like Agnes) to help him with the more complex thinking, if you get my drift.
It seems as if Virgil is suddenly reminded of when Carmine tried to pull one over him and Alvie the other day: What?!!! I Still can't believe he tried to use us like that... he's supposed to be our brother! Hmmpf!
anne, I know exactly what you mean. My Gomez was not the brightest bulb on the porch. Big, strong and handsome, but somewhat challenged. He was lucky to have his sis, Morticia, too.
You could almost hear him saying, "Tish, what's we gonna do today, huh? Should we shred the furniture? No? How about barfing on the bed? No? Well what then?.... Oh, goof around with each other, eat, groom and sleep? OK.... Hey Tish, where are you goin'? Can I come, too? Huh? Please?"
Dear Virgil - Pssst....I am going to sneak over to your place and snatch you up! And give you chin and ear and belly skritches. Back rubs, head bumps and so on....
Will you be ready?
Anne & Kleinwort - You must have the 'cousins' to my Marbles (Medium-hair dilute tortie). She keeps whacking her head on the bottom of my coffee table and it has been in the exact same spot for nearly 10 years. Sigh....If it ain't food she can't focus on it!
The only things that are luckier than these kitties that we get to love and care for and protect from real life, especially the "special" ones, are those of us who live with them.
Virgil is sitting in classic cat-loaf style, on a very smoothly polished wooden floor. (Way to make the rest of us feel guilty, Laurie!) He has one front paw tucked under him, another slightly extended, and his fur looks almost impossibly thick.
As Indieswhip and Anna pointed out, he looks rather shocked, despite his relaxed pose.
This floor is so smoothly polished that there's a very clear reflection of Virgil.
Hey Virgil, I know how hard it is to get people to take you seriously just because you're so incredibly handsome. Don't let it get you down.
My Dashiell is a gorgeous brown and white striped tabby with the sweetest disposition anyone could ask for, but every so often he gets a look on his face that makes me think, "Hmm... sharp as a marble." Oh, well. Guess no one has it all.
No, no - I think our Virgil's studying up on his Mind Control; just looking at that picture (and he's not even looking at US) made me just want to go get him a little treat...you know, just a wee morsel of albacore, or the tiniest bit of wild salmon.....
I think Virgil is thinking of putting that beautifully shined floor to good use - maybe a reprise of Ferris Bueller on his day off. There is a lot going on behind those beautiful baby blue eyes!
He has stolen my heart! I lurrrrrv you Virgie!
ReplyDeleteps - Love your uber-clean sparkling hardwoods, Laurie! Lovely!

He's just GOR-GEOUS! Absolutely fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThe intense blue of his eyes makes him seem as if he is staring extra hard at something.

ReplyDeletePlotting new depredations against string?
ReplyDeleteDid someone use the lovely, fluffy Virgil as a polishing cloth for that shiny table? ;)
