[sniff] My hometown is Davenport, Iowa so this litter had some deeper meaning for me. I wish you much love and many years of happiness in your new homes. And a hug out to Orson who reminds me of a kitty I once had.
I would also like to note that my own foster itty bitty kitty, Pepi, is back from being spayed. Her personality is different. Before she was running around begging for attention and driving my furever kitties mad. Now she's more passive, has hardly meowed, and my furever kitties tolerate her much more. My female Lena even sniffed her instead of hissing and taking an aggressive swat. Maybe Pepi was in heat before, or still scared in some form.
That's such dear news (as always)! I just love snuggling in at night, feeling Evangeline cautiously stepping around to find which part of my lumpiness will be her pillow for the night - and dreaming about how all those sweet babies will be finding their own nests in their forever homes! (Oh, and yeah - pretty soon NEW ONES!)
The Davenports are all sitting on a nice, wide windowsill, with Charlene Butterbean keeping an eye out. You can see just how itty bitty these little guys are compared to Ms. Butterbean!
It's impossible to resist the thought that they know that soon the Davenports are all heading out into the big world.
What a cute sight, all those sweet babies in the window. It's been a treat getting to see them here, each day. Happy, healthy, loving lives to all of them.

if i were to walk by this window with all the beautiful cats and flowers, i would just stop and stare. its lovely! good luck to all the kitties in their new homes!
Thank you, Martin J! I didn't see Inez till you told me she was there and I just figured she was off somewhere writing her memoirs or having a pedicure. But, Hail Hail, the gangs all there for one last parting shot.
Goodbye, sweet kitties, as you head for your Forever homes. Don't forget to write - and remind your new families that we thrive on alumni pictures and blogs.
Anne - I couldn't see her at first - The caption on the flickr page for this pic said there was 5 kitties in this picture so I had to enlarge the pic to find Inez... There she was hiding in plain sight!
Two comments in one First; With that much qte in the window you don't have to worry about burglers its the cuteoholics you have to worry about. Second;Miss Butterbean is obviously giving this is how we wait for our parents, so you can show they were missed.
This is so very exciting! All the IBKs have found their new forever homes, including big boy Orson.
ReplyDeleteYou know what that means ... it will soon be time for MORE kittehs!!!
That is the cutest photo! If I were walking on the street - and saw all those kittys in your window I would probably faint from cuteness. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to hear they all found homes! yay!
It's so great the Davenports all have their forever homes. I'll miss them, but I look forward to meeting the new kittens!
ReplyDeleteIt was great meeting you and some of the Davenports the other day (Orson, Cecily and Edward, right?).

Parting is such sweet sorrow... but I'm so pleased that these gorgeous kittens will go to loving forever families!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like every cat owner should have a handy windowsill for the kitties to hang out on. Seems to be a very popular spot!
