Yay Orson!!! But sighhhh... this is a sign of adoptions soon to come. Great for the kitties and of course this is the point of the IBKC after all, but I feel like we are just getting to know these munchkins!
Oh, my, he's already made weight! Is he just extra big or are they older kittens?
Orson the Fluffy is sitting in a basket with his head sticking out over the side and his chin resting on the rim. (Hey, it's tiring being that fluffy.)
It's a great closeup shot and you can see just how much fuzz he has springing everywhere, including tufts at the top of his remarkably large ears.
The set of whiskers above his eyes is almost as luxurious as the more traditionally placed set of whiskers alongside his mouth. In fact, they droop over his eyes and look a bit like some kind of illustration from a Dr. Seuss book--they have that odd sense of whimsy.
His nose and mouth are remarkably pink and his eyes have a subtle but unmistakable black eyeliner among them. Is it possible that Orson is a kitty who sometimes raids his sisters' makeup kit? Just because male kittens like to feel pretty too, you understand.
AWWW! He sounds like such a fuzzy doll! With all that fluff, I wonder if Orson isn't a Maine coon, or something. *cuddles the big fluffy boy* that description reminds me even more of Mitchell Merryweather, you know.
OH NO! we havent even got acquainted yet... i know this litter will go fast. i hope that he finds a great home... Miss Inez will be ready any day now i'll bet.
STOP! Don't take the boy for nips & tucks! Figure in the fluff and fur factor and he only weighs 1 lb 3 oz. Stop, I say! We need much more time with these guys, especially Orson and Inez (No fair that the tabbies are tinier). All in favor of raising the weight requirement, raise your paws.
Wow, every moment I spend looking at your gorgeous little whiskers is a perfect delight. I am afraid you are a heart throb. Perhaps it is just as well you found 2 pounds already--it is all heart, isn't it??? Thank you for the wonderful fuzzy feeling you give us all. I hope you find gourmet cat food and yards of yarn to chase in your new home.
I'm with Anne Boleyn, I think Orson's all fluff (and perhaps ears), so he shouldn't be going under the knife yet. And I'm not just saying this because I want the Davenports to hang around longer. Well, maybe I am....
Aww! Orsen still looks so small but is already 2 lbs?! My kitten is only 1.8 lbs (but with very short hair) and looks to be the same size as Orsen even. It MUST be fluff weight!
Oh, Man-You go, Orsen!
ReplyDeleteBig Meowy Hugs,
Robin
So does this mean he's having his itty bitty bits snipped soon? I didn't realize how close they were to adoptable age!
ReplyDeletehe's a beautiful boy

Though I want you to get a great forever home....this is too quick!
I am not surprised that Orsen hit the two pound mark first, he's one sturdy fella.
ReplyDeleteI hope we have some en famille photos soon, we need to know how belong as pairs or trios.
