These pics are sooo sweet! The boys will miss Charlene, they look a little solemn in some of the pictures. I love the one with the little kitty arm over the face as he's laying down, not sure which boy that is! Bless you Laurie for all you do for us with the blog and the kitties for sure. And a shout out to Miss Butterbean of course!!
Oh, how wonderful! I was just going to ask if we could have some interim pictures of Charlene Butterbean and Miss Drewey, and here they are!
Chanter, Albert and Davy, now about the size where you could fit both of them into a shoebox and still have room for a few hamsters (which the hamsters probably wouldn't appreciate, but you get the idea), are lounging on the bed with the gorgeous Charlene Butterbean.
In a couple of photos she is cuddling with a just-washed Livermore boy, in others, they're just hanging around, spending time together.
An unexpected gift, these pictures! I get such a kick out of the fact that every batch of IBKs looks as if it was meant to be with Charlene from the start. A stranger would never know that these kittens had come from a sadder beginning. (Fabulous description, AnnF!)
Ms B is soooo photogenic, what a beauty. and those scruffy little boys arent bad looking either, i cant believe how they keep looking more and more alike!
The boys are doing fantastic! They have more toys than they know what to do with so it's no surprise that they play and play and play. I am so completely content with my little snuggle-bunnies. Thanks Laurie for such an awesome job raising two fantastic little boys!
I'm new to your blog, but I'm glad I found it! Your kitties are so cute, and you are so good at capturing their personalities in the photos.
Also, as an owner of a ragdoll breed cat, I must say that Charlene looks an awful lot like a Ragdoll, not a Birman. Our Miss Tula is floofy just like Charlene, and has many of the same markings.
I love the third photo where everybody is looking at the camera. I think it reads "So, what are *you* staring at?" :-)
PS. Cori, sounds like you'll have a most spoiled pair of kitties - not that we expected anything less of somebody who's been chosen by an IBK! Thank you for the update!
i love that all your foster kitties not only have good humans to teach them all about the world of being a cat, but they have a surrogate mommy cat who takes her job so seriously as well. I love Charlene!
Thanks for the update, Cori! I'm vicariously enjoying your new mommy status by remembering my own crew when they were itty bitty kitties. Spoil away and plese continue to drop by with updates when the boys take naps.
Now I absolutely have to gloat: I got today a package from Charlotte Butterbean!
Seriously. I'm not kidding. When I came home, there was in our mailbox a thick yellow envelope with Charlotte Butterbean as sender. Don't know whether she actually "helped" with packing, but in any case I now have my own Pettibones and Davenports. And no dent, scratch or tear on them, despite overseas transit.
That considerably brightened up the evening of a quite cr*y day!
I WAS going to say "this one is my favorite" or "that one is my favorite"......but no, they're ALL favorites! When Charlene is in the shot, the babies look sweeter than otherwise (if that's possible, which it isn't) and she adds a whole element of Warm and Love to each picture. Honestly? Every day I think "these are better than the ones before" - but the very first were perfection! It's an enigma! (Oh how I love them all, Laurie...'megwetch' and blessings to you!)
I quite agree with Dale, above (my very own ET) They are sooo charming. And AnnR is right-- the one of Bawth Time with Charlene is uberprecious. Luuurrrve it!
Does anyone know how to help my permanent female cat get along better with my foster female kitten? She's been here for 2 months and she doesn't like this intruder. Don't worry, the foster is staying until I find her a home, I just want everyone to be one big happy family until that happens.
There's something magic about Ms. Butterbean's care of the little ones.
Cori- thanks for the update. I dare say we all have been thinking of you a lot over the past few days and envious over the very special time you are going through with the boys now - as they settle in to their new lives with you. Enjoy - and do remind them they have a lot of fans in cyberspace!
Awww Kitties! Albert and Davy are just the cutest aren't they??
ReplyDeleteCharlene is just as cute but for different reasons!
Absolutely gorgeous photos, thank you. Jenny

ReplyDeleteWhichever boy it was did not have much choice in the matter, for sure!
Charlene was making sure "her" boys were looking their best!

I too have received the Charlene Butterbean packet. I now have a set of each available IBKC cards plus some extras for holiday gift giving fun!

ReplyDeleteI love that 2nd to last picture. The lighting is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love the calm control the lovely Butterbean has over the two little guys. She's such a great foster mum!
