Georgette is such a perfect little thing. She looks like a miniature cat rather than a kitten somehow. Her markings are such that she looks as if she has been art directed. These girls are really something.
Oh, Georgette, you beautiful girl, you. What a darling pose. I love your Raggedy Ann nose. Not everyone can pull off that look, you know.
And it's a treat to get a close up of that particular lamp. Ever since first seeing it in photos I've wondered if the Lamp Lady was Quan Yin. I see now she's not, but she's lovely all the same.
In other news, I received my packet of Pickett and Butterbean cards, and they're absolutely fabulous. Beautiful photos, top-notch quality. Just looking at them makes me smile.
Also, last week at our vet's office I met four five-week old kittens. They'd been brought there by another client, and are being fostered by Dr. C. and his crew. It was love at first sight, and I barely managed to leave without committing to adopting all of them.
Seeing these teensy tiny kittens really brought home the hard work and dedication of the IBKC. Big huzzahs of appreciation to you.
Has everyone seen Cori's blog? Davy's name is now Elvis and she's doing a great job showing them off to the world. Check it out! http://www.albertandelvis.blogspot.com/
Sweet Georgette, you are pure perfection inside and out.
Tremendous YAYs from the Cattery this week where Max VonManx, Darla, Luna, Blue and 3 others (who were nameless until their adoptions) all found their new forever homes! I'm smitten with Blue, he's a heartbreaker. Yay!
And when you have a chance, big kitty Hippy in near the bottom of this page. He's a cool cat with an appropriate name, very laid back. If cats could surf...
She is so lovely. Hope we'll get to meet this batch before they're gone. Ella has been sunning herself all week under my desklamp. It's quite the cozy spot.
There IS a connection between lamps and cats...could it go back to the days when great illuminated torches heavy with incense stood in the Temple of Bast? Oh, but Laurie, I've just realized another reason your pictures are SO perfect: the sites you use enhance the individual beauty of the kittens. OK, I nagged and nagged about the cards -- {ahem} Any chance of a BOOK??? ......just in case, I'm saving up.
My goodness! Do you train your little subjects to perch here- "Right here on the post it and don't move while I take your photo?" Something about seeing a kitten tiny enough to fir on a post it makes me smile.
I foster kittens too. I can never get them to hold still for photos! Something tells me that you use a LOT of patience in order to get your fine shots.
also note that she has perched herself purrfectly upon a tiny piece of paper. how adorable.
ReplyDeletewonderful photos!
Kisses, smooches, hugs, pats, lovies!
ReplyDeleteMy girls love to bask in the glow of the lamps. Must be the warmth the bulbs give off.

ReplyDeleteIn the top picture it looks like she is enjoying the music that the "lamp lady" is playing just for her...
