Enid and Miranda were having a great time wrestling in and on the paper bag until Miss Butterbean came along and planted her big old self right on top of their fun.
Does Charlene get in the bags? Have any of the kittens discovered the joys of hiding in bags and ambushing those who come close or was that the game when Charlene became "Queen of the Bag"? Cats do become invisible when they are in/under bags.
Thanks for the laugh, Laurie and Charlene! (I need it today!) Do you think she's telling them it's bathtime, and they can play again after she administers said baths???
Hey, Miss Charlene is just looking for her own paper time. Why should kittens get all the fun??? She deserves a shopping bag with handles to play with.
Charlene was probably napping and 'those dang kids' woke her up from her beauty sleep! she probly thought "well, I'll put an end to this nonsense right now" and plopped her 'floofy' body right in the middle of their fun.
oh. i think Charlene would need a Trader-Joes handle bag size bag for optimum playing. (considering her considerable fluffatude and bohemian-like figure.)
That is so funny! Love how Charlene teaches them important facts of life such as "What was once yours, is now mine!"
When our boy kitties get too boisterous playing with their toys, our older and wiser (and larger) girl kittie walks over and plants her butt on their toys :)
There must be some cross country telepathy happening because, after I saw this post, I went in the kitchen and Beatrix was in a grocery bag and Potter was trying to figure out where she had gone. I can't remember the last time they played with a bag but it was likely the time Beatrix's head got caught in the handle and I began to be more careful about leaving bags around.
Awww, the poor babies were just playing, Charlene!
My roommate's cat (Ginny) does similar things to Smokey. Every time Smokey starts playing with something, Ginny comes over and walks off with it. It's not... her most endearing trait.
I think Miss Butterbean is letting the little girls know she wants to play, too. Charlene's anything but mean-spirited. She adores her young charges, and who wouldn't?
The cat is not only out of the bag, she's on top of it! (Sorry, I couldn't resist).
Wonderful news from the Cattery, especially for Sue ~ our sweet Clarabell found her new forever home yesterday, just minutes after your visit! It was love at first purr. By the way, Clarabell is a biggie version of Miranda, with cow spots and black tail. Imagine Miranda all grown up, you get Clarabell. Complete perfection.
Other biggies news (I almost forgot amidst the wonderful news about Clarabell) ~ Liza, Sammy & Hammy (orange twins), Tommy, Reggie, Hippy & Harriette were also adopted! YAY!
Shana, your news is WONDERFUL! I know they get adopted because you take such good care of them while they're waiting that they glow with love. Thank you!

ReplyDeleteI snorted water out my nose when I saw this! Love it!

Hehe, now this bag is mine!
ReplyDeleteHa!
ReplyDeleteThe thing that cracks me up is Ms. Butterbean's stance and her expression. She is looking at the babies like: "What?".
And they look like toddlers whose icecream has dropped out of their cone to hit the pavement.
What a fun photo! I love the stance of the kittens... And Ms. Butterbean's fluffitude, of course!

ReplyDeleteCharlene to the girls...
ReplyDeleteNow **HERE** is how you make your people smile!
And you can get a little happy out of it also, see?? (crinkle crinkle rustle rustle)
Charlene is delivering important tips on playing with paper bags.
