Awww, Charlene! I hope that, in the absence of itty-bitties, you get all the extra snorgles and appreciation from your momma and poppa! (I don't know if virtual ones help, but if they do - consider yourself stroked and admired and adored and snorgled from afar!)
I've enjoyed following the adventures of Charlene and the IBKs! I've been very concerned by the news reports of flooding in the Seattle area - I hope that you and everyone there are OK!
I'm sorry you are bored, Charlene. I wish you were bored more often. As much as I love seeing the babies, I wish there were less unwanted litters!!! Thank heaven for you guys!
OOO! OOO! pick me! i'll come over and cuddle and play with Ms Butterbean, i dont want to see her sad and lonely! if she were "looking longingly out the window" I would be in tears!
Oh, precious darling Butterbean. You have so much love and nurturing to give that this time out must seem endless to you. Try to take some time each day to replenish your resources, relax, and receive all the love your Mom, Dad and groupies have for you.
Awaiting the next batch right along with you, Love, Lynda
I hope you get kitties soon! I love your blog and gave you one of those blog awards that people pass around. I'm a huge fan of the Committee and have purchased every set of cards so far - I look forward to the LaBath set if there will be one. :-) I also ordered one of you paper flowers and it's a great addition to my room.
Here's the award http://meaningfulrevisions.wordpress.com/2009/01/11/proximidade-award/
Dear sweet Charlene! How you love all those babies! And we all love you! Hopefully all the babes that you have tended to will grow to be as sweet as you!
I'm thinking this picture has been here nearly a week, so maybe L & C are on that R&R and it's getting ever closer to their return and more IBKs. Kinda' like waiting for Spring, huh?
Hi! I just found your blog a few days ago, and I love it! I used to live in Tacoma, and I would see the Tacoma petsmart kitties when I was in getting fish supplies (I was in college when I lived in Tacoma, and not in a stable enough position yet for my own kitties). Anyway, it's nice to think that some of the kittens I oohed and awwwed over at that petsmart might have been under your loving care! Thank you for all your hard work!
Anne B, exactly like waiting for spring. Kitten season is around the corner! It's been slow at our shelter- so nice to see lots of empty cages. We have more time to scritch the adult cats waiting for their forever homes.
There's a pot of bulbs on my porch, hibernating till Spring. I give them an encouraging "Hi" every day. I'd be hard pressed to say which I'm anticipating more, my bulbs coming up or the return of the IBKC.
I hope you guys are enjoying the R&R and the nice quiet house, but...we miss you!! Even if there are no resident kittens, your posts always make me smile, Laurie! get some well-deserved rest and come back to us soon. Give Charlene a belly snorgle for me!
Do you mind if I ask when you think you might be returning to us? I don't begrudge you your time off, quite the contrary. But if I had a goal to look forward to the wait would be so much easier.
So glad that i found this blog! You are definitely after my heart. Thank you so much for what you do! Many purrs, Carrie the SnipPet Girl, a fellow artist, foster mom and spay/neuter volunteer
I commented awhile back about my foster baby Cassie, and someone asked to keep them updated. I still have her (unimaginably... she still hasn't been adopted :\ ) and I have new pictures! She is blossoming into the most beautiful baby ever - http://s680.photobucket.com/albums/vv165/adurdenVT/
Thank goodness she loves to be brushed! It's ALL floof!
And I'm missing the IBKC's too, but she is definitely a nice distraction :)
I'm so totally with "anonymous' " post saying it's OK that you're resting. We want that for you.... but might Sue or Shana Banana give us a possible date to looks forward to, or maybe entertain us with some kitty stories, huh, please?
Cassie is a little darling. Thanks for the link. Sadly my own little itty bitty foster kitty is still with me as well. It's clear she'll be very happy staying with me. She's even getting along better with my other female cat. She hates going to the adoption shows. I have to chase her around (she's learned when it's time to go and hides). But she's a good kitten going on 1 year. http://www.catster.com/cats/864599 JasonInIllinois
Thanks for checking her out! She really is the best behaved cat I've ever seen. I wish we had adoption shows, I know she'd be scooped up immediately but the only method they use is petfinder.
Aww she is beautiful! I'm a sucker for black (or almost black) babies. Good luck getting her adopted, but I'm sure she's happy in the meantime! Cassie never stops purring.. with her lion's mane I'm sure it'll be a roar in no time :)
Patience, Butterbean, babies will be under your expert care before you know it.
ReplyDeletePoor little Butterbean, we hope you have some new babies to raise soon.
ReplyDeleteWe're all hoping for new babies for you to teach, Charlene. I know it's hard to be patient.
ReplyDeleteWe want 'em just as much as you do, girlfriend, but your mama and papa need a little R & R before we get our wish.
ReplyDeleteThat face says it all... Mom, get me some playmates. She will be extra ticked off when you go on vacation.
ReplyDeletePoor thing...
ReplyDeleteAww. Sue better bring her next set of fosters over for a visit to tide Ms. Butterbean over.
ReplyDeleteHang in there, sweetpea...soon you'll have kittens a'plenty to teach and play with. In the meantime, try not to look so gorgeous, will you?
ReplyDeleteOh Charlene it can't be too long. In the meantime, get caught up on your naps.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pout.. what a cutie.
ReplyDeleteI'll be it's been a long time since she's last been alone. The poor little thing.
ReplyDeleteAwww, Charlene! I hope that, in the absence of itty-bitties, you get all the extra snorgles and appreciation from your momma and poppa! (I don't know if virtual ones help, but if they do - consider yourself stroked and admired and adored and snorgled from afar!)
ReplyDeleteHang in there, beanie bean! It will be so worth the wait!
ReplyDeleteCharlene is so pretty. Those beautiful blue eyes get me every time. :)
ReplyDeleteHow bored can a Butterbean be?
ReplyDeleteI think we know the answer!
Charlene, Baby, have a HUGE snorgle from England!
We love you Charlene!!!
ReplyDeleteAw, Charlene - you are so adorable, even in your butterbeaniest funk! There will be more kittens - patience, dear! *snorgles*
ReplyDeleteI wondered how she was faring without any kittens to wash. Poor Butterbean!

Cheri
aw. She loves being a vicarious little mama!
ReplyDeleteCharlene you wondrously loving Butterbean kitty....
ReplyDeleteRest up and hydrate yourself! When your humans let you have another batch you will not have time to be bored.
There will be more kittens soon Butterbean.
ReplyDeleteOh yes there will.
You know it.
No kittens, but if you want, you can feast your eyes on these cartoon kittens: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlRo-DHmTLo
ReplyDeleteYes, I know, it's juvenile, but it's cute, and the music is very good.
