And just in case you forgot what the boy looked like before... here he is as a tiny tot.
I do believe The Mayfields celebrated their first birthday a few weeks back. It's hard to believe they could be so old now!
Thank you Mama Sarah for sending the pictures along with an update. Here's what she had to say...
Clementine is still so crazy!!!! She loves jumping up on things and knocking things down :) She is not too cuddly still, but we know she loves us and we love her! Her fur is still very short and beautiful. She takes very good care of herself! I imagine her to be quite girly if she were a human :)
Porter is still a lover! He is such a lap kitty and licker and cry-er. He is way mellow compared to Clementine! She is often the one that gets him all "crazied" up. He has very long hair now! And the fur on his tail is very bushy!!! It took him a while to figure out how important it was to clean his long fur--especially around his bottom area. But Clementine was sweet enough to help him out while he was learning :) People don't believe us when we tell them that they are brother and sister because they look so different.
We just love these little babies!
No kittens yet! We're still waiting. We're at the top of the list though, so the second the kittens arrive at the HS,, I'll hop in the car and snatch them up. Their quarters are prepared and we are so ready to receive them. We've got Shana keeping her eyes peeled for any new arrivals and hopefully our number is on her speed dial.
Hang in there folks. They will be here soon enough.
Clementine's belly spots and stripes make her look like some exotic jungle cat. What a beautiful family.
ReplyDeleteClementine looks EXACTLY like my kitty Delilah, belly spots/stripes and all! I thought someone stole my kitty when I first saw that picture. Such cute kitties!
ReplyDeleteOh, what a treat this is! Both of them are gorgeous and I'm so happy to know that Porter (Pot Pie) is a love bunny.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to all the Mayfields in all their happy homes!
So nice to see Porter grew into all that fluff- what a gorgeous guy! And Clementine is lovely too. *happy little sigh*
ReplyDeleteSuch grown up floof. *Sigh* They grow up so fast...I am glad that they are so happy!
ReplyDeletewhoo-hoo! where's my prize? (I guessed porter right away 'pats self on back lightly')
ReplyDeletedo i get to babysit Butterbean for a month??? :) if only!
Oh, it IS the Pot Pie, as many (not including me) guessed. What fun this was.
ReplyDeleteAnd how wonderful to get a glimpse at some of the beloved alumni. Porter and Clementine are gorgeous. Thanks Mama Sarah for this update.
at least I was in the right 'family'! Porter is such a handsome lad! Glad to hear he's a lover - maybe Clementine will learn some lovin' from him (since he's had to learn grooming from her! lol)
ReplyDeleteHow great to see them again!
Wow, i would not have guessed that adult cat was Porter. However, if you had posted the adult picture of clementine alone, I would have guessed that in a heart beat. She looks very much the same.

ReplyDeleteI totally guessed Porter. They both look so much bigger than their brother Fergus though I can't believe it! Both beautiful though.
ReplyDeleteOh, Clementine knows that she's beautiful, just look at that "you may admire me" pose on the bed.
ReplyDeletePrecious Porter Pot Pie carries all that fluff with dignity. Well, most of the time.
Thanks, Sarah, for sharing!
It may just be me, but I think seeing adult cats lounging around their home looking happy and content are more heart warming than kittens.
ReplyDeleteI should have guessed Porter! Seeing his kitten picture with this, there is no mistaking!
ReplyDeleteAnd Madam Clementine sure looks like she is enjoying a life of luxury!
Oooh - Porter kept a bit of his head tilt! How sweet!
ReplyDeleteAnd Miss Clementine is an awesome sister to help teach her brother to do THAT task!
Many happy purrs and skritches to the Mayfields!
This is absolutely one of my favorite blogs. But while I miss receiving frequent kitten updates, it is nice that the HS is actually dry on kittens; means a reduction in homeless cats, does it not?
ReplyDeleteJasonInIllinois - I'm with you. I have such a good time reading about/seeing photos of the kittens, but the happy ending updates are def my favorites!
ReplyDeleteI dont know which one is which cat...
ReplyDeleteWho is the grey cat and who is the tabby?
Martin J - Clementine is the gray tabby, Porter is brown.
ReplyDeleteIf you scroll down to where the kitty names are listed, you can click on one to see every post that includes that particular kitten. It's kind of fun to reminisce.
So, I see Porter got some more tabby markings.
