He Had a VERY Hard Day Today
Poor, poor, poor little kitten.
Today Clovis and his siblings went in for their blood draw and micro-chipping. All the kitties did remarkably well. I thought for sure wiggly little crybaby Clovis might put up a fight, but he was quiet and calm in Traci's hands.
They all got weighed today too. Clovis is the smallest, but even he has passed the two pound mark.
All five of the Ashbys have been put on the surgery schedule for Thursday, and the first of the litter will be departing next week. We have homes for three, but still searching for that perfect place for Clovis and Norman.
If you know any quality folks in the Seattle/Tacoma area who are the hunt for kitten perfection, please send the our way.

ReplyDeleteI truly envy the lucky person who will get the pleasure of seeing Milton's spotty belly everyday!
ReplyDeleteThey just got here! And now they're going? It was just last week they were nomming down Butterbean's birthday bonanza. *sniff* What lucky itty bitty kitties. Are the three leaving all going together? Well congratulations on being the first litter this year. I wish you all many many happy years in your new home. And for Clovis and Norman, you'll find your homes soon. *headbutt*
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh! How could Norman and Clovis not be spoken for? Shocking, simply shocking.
ReplyDeleteBut much happiness for the other 3!
If only I lived nearby. I'd take them both. Elvis would love little brothers to boss around.
ReplyDeleteWow, I can't believe they are that big already! I am glad that they are finding good homes - hopefully Norman and Clovis will have theirs soon Although I will be very sad to see them go I am happy to know they will have good homes.
ReplyDeleteAlready? Awwww... :(
ReplyDeleteOh well. Lucky kitties that have homes, and lucky people who will soon have delightful baby kitties to love.
Holy crap, already?! They just got here!
ReplyDeleteAnd I am so surprised Clovis isn't spoken for yet. O.O I wish I lived in Tacoma so I could speak for him now.
If I lived in the area I would snap up Norman in a heartbeat. He and my Katia would get along great.
ReplyDeleteNorman and Clovis will get their new home(s) soon.
ReplyDeleteThey will be chosen for the bestest homes, I am sure. If it takes a little while, it just means more great Laurie pix!
Sweet kits...I just can't believe they achieved weight so quickly...>>whimper!<<
"we hardly knew ye..." So glad three are heading home soon - there will be a special spot for Clovis & Norman (hopefully together!)
ReplyDeletesnorgles to all!
Great to see you today, Laurie! You are once again glowing with kitten pride.
ReplyDeleteSee you Thursday, floofy angels.
Oh. So soon!! It seems they just arrived yesterday. I'm happy they've found homes, and I'm sure Norman and Clovis will soon. You always do such a magnificent job with your foster babies.
ReplyDeleteHey, on a more optimistic note ... did anyone know that in England and Asia, black cats are considered lucky? Some lucky person is going to be very lucky to own these two remaining kitties. ^_^
ReplyDeleteChanter - In this one, little Clovis is snuggled into one of the lovely woven kitty beds Laurie provides for them. This one is pinkish and reddish. He's leaning against the side looking upward at the camera.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, he doesn't look like his day was all that difficult. I don't think these kitties have had a single difficult moment.
>whispering< Norman and Clovis are my favorites!
ReplyDeleteAnd I live in Seattle! I just wish I was confident I could give them all that their kittens hearts desire, they'd be mine in a heartbeat.
Oh my... to echo everyone else... so soon! *sniff*
ReplyDeleteI'm lovin' Norman, too, of course, but I have to confess itty Clovis captured my heart in a special way right from the start. If only I lived on the other seaboard, I'd be there in a flash!
Fingers crossed and prayers goin' up for furever homes for the boys, soon!
Anne, if you desire them, and would love them forever and ever, I think that you should be emailing Laurie. :)
ReplyDeleteThat said, Norman has completely stolen my heart. I have SUCH a weakness for the tuxies!
i'm sure he'll find he home... he's so extremely cute.
ReplyDeletei have to stop visiting here cause i get kitten lust! sigh.... Such cuteness!
ReplyDeleteThat's very good news!! I will take Norman if I was living closer!! My kitty would love to have a little brother... but we are too far..snif snif... - Jeanne
ReplyDeleteThat kitty cake must have been the reason for their fast weight gain!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear 3/5 of the litter are set. I'm sure Norman and Clovis will find their places soon. Who could resist the cuteness?
All together now: "Oh I WISH I lived closer, I would SO be coming for both Norman and Clovis!" (This is to be followed by the sound of soft sobbing - multiplied by the thousands of us doing it.)
ReplyDeleteLUCKY LUCKY new forever homes!
Aww look at them, hope everything went well!
