Hey, Little Man!
Here's the teeny-tiniest little fellow in the litter. I haven't QUITE made up my mind on a name for him yet,, but I've got it narrowed down to a couple. I'll formally introduce the little guy once the name has been decided upon.
He's mostly all black,, but there are some subtle little stripes in his fur. He weighs about 1 pound 3 ounces, and is about 3 ounces behind the rest.
We've only had one black kitty before, and that was Cornelius. It's a treat to have one again. He's so stinkin' cute,, he looks like a tiny little baby black bear.
Charlene hasn't met the babies yet, but she knows they're here and has been camped outside their door. There is a quarantine period for the kittens, which ends right around her birthday. (March 15th) I thought it would be fun to have a little party for Charlene, and invite all the new itty bitties. I couldn't imagine a better birthday present for Ms Butterbean.
There are more kittens to introduce,,, tune in tomorrow.

Hello, gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHe'll fatten up with all your care in no time. So sweet!
ReplyDeleteI've been just as anxious waiting on a new litter as poor Charlene has been. I can't wait to see the rest of the babies.
ReplyDeleteHow adorable is he!
ReplyDeleteHey, bitty kitty! You look like all of my little black kitties when they were baby kitties!
ReplyDeleteHe is absolutely adorable. Snorglicious, in fact.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely surprise when I came to IBKC!!What a handsome handsome handsome young kitty we have here...he is soooooo sweet...am melting ... Jeanne
ReplyDeleteAUGH!!!!!!! Me want.
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect specimen! I can't wait to watch these little ones grow!
ReplyDeleteI love black kitties. What a gorgeous boy!
ReplyDeleteSOOOOO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteif i lived in your area i would have a house full of itty bitty kitties. maybe it's a good thing i live here....
Ahh! The subtle striping, the big ears, the gorgeous black fuzz -- this little fellow is how I'm sure my dear not-quite-so-itty-bitty Casimir looked at this age. (He was a mite older than this when I first met him, and is now a lanky, blobbular adolescent cat.)
ReplyDeleteI'm particularly chuffed to see another little black fuzzball here as it was Cornelius who turned me on to both the IBKC and the idea of having a black cat in the first place! ♥
First and foremost. Ms Butterbean was born on the Ides of March! WELL that certainly explains everything.
ReplyDeleteSpunk. That's what that little fellow has - it just pours from him. He looks like he could go from 0 to 60 in 1.2 seconds too.
I'm just so glad Charlene will be given foster babies for her birhtday!
What a cutie! Black cats are my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI love black kitties! What a little cutie he is. But poor Charlene, so close and yet so far!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweetie!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited to meet the new kitties, can't wait! :)
Maybe Charlene and the little kitties know morris code and will use it on the door. tap tap (hello) tap (we're here) tap tap tap (welcome).
ReplyDeleteMorris code.... as in morris the cat? : )
ReplyDeleteA stunning boy, patiently awaiting his name and his famed introduction to Aunt Charlene.
ReplyDeleteAaagghhh! I go away for 24 hours and yousneak in two posts! Oh boy, can't wait to see all the babies.
ReplyDeletei lurrrrrrrrrrvvvvvvvve him. What a doll baby.
ReplyDeleteHi little guy!
ReplyDeleteMy black cat* Buzzo was the runt of his litter too. He's about eight pounds full grown but looks much bigger because of all his floof and his big paws. People are always shocked when they pick him up.
*well almost all black... he has a tiny white spot on his belleh, making him an extremely recessive tux, I guess.
Aww...he's so cute!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable little kitten! I want to love him to pieces! My newly adopted kitty Pepi is mostly black too. Black kitties tend to be more affectionate in my experience
ReplyDeleteHelloooooooooo, gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI have a huge thing for black kittens!!! They are the cutest little gremlins ever. I fostered two little black ones last spring that were going to be euthanized at an animal control. They were the funniest, sweetest things ever.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy this little sweet pea!
*ker-thunk!*
ReplyDelete*picks self up - looks at nameless black itty bitty*
*ker-thunk!*
I be sitting right outside the door with Charlene...wanting to do some major lovin' on this little guy!
omg so itty bitty!! I love him and his siblings already.
ReplyDeleteAmazing how much happiness kittens generate... I feel it thousands of kilometers away!
I fell in love with Cornelius and we ended up with 2 black beauties who just celebrated their first birthdays. They are so beautiful and the best cats. This little guy would be my choice.
ReplyDeleteThud thud thud THUD thud. . . heart, be still! Whoa, darlink, they're both utterly utterly :)
ReplyDeleteEnamored once again! Teensiest tiniest scritchifications to babies, and slightly larger ones to Charlene.
How awesome that there are kitties again and the two we've seen so far are just ADORABLE!!!!!! That is such a great idea to introduce them to Charlene on her birthday, we will all celebrate the new babies.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little schmoop face!
ReplyDelete[swoon]
I feel like I have been parked outside the IBKC blog's door! I'm so excited there are new little ones!
ReplyDeleteChanter, you probably have a pretty good idea what these two (so far) look like, but I'll gush a little anyway. Yesterday's kitten is black and has the typical tuxedo chest with the white going up around the very pink mouth and onto the bridge of the very pink nose. I'll be surprised if that one's not a girl. Today's kitty looks to be solid black, quite small, and totally adorable!
ReplyDeleteI'm trying really hard not to let my brain melt into goo from this cuteness. He is also very serious! There, that sounds like a name! Sirius!
ReplyDeleteThose eyes ... he's mesmerizing.
ReplyDeleteAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
ReplyDeleteHe looks just like my Simon did when he was little! Awwww! So terribly cute!
ooooh adorable!!! Black kitties are the sweetest. He looks just like my baby Sully did when he was young. He just celebrated his 5th birthday around valentine's day :>
ReplyDeleteOh, my. What a precious little lump of love. As several others have said, this tiny guy reminds me of an all-black kitty we once had. Her name was Gracie, and she too, looked like a baby black bear.
ReplyDeleteLaurie, I love the way you extend the introductions. Gives us that sweet anticipation. I eagerly look forward to meeting the next sweetie.
I've always wanted a little black kitten. Katia is the closest I've come - she's a black and caramel tortie. He is such a sweet little thing.
ReplyDeleteOooooh HOOORAY!! We have bitties again.......you do know, Laurie, that Charlene is OUR representative, and now I know why it's going to be warm today - all that relief and ittybitty love flowing out of us all! As for that little black sweetums, well - that's what my Evangeline looked like, before I saw her. I'm in the Black Cat Group, and he is a prime example. I liked the suggestion of "Sirius" for a name; my two boys (Evangeline's predecessors) were Ra and Othello.
ReplyDeleteWELCOME BACK, IBKC!! (PS I *loved* just looking at Charlene in the meantime)
Now I have a mental image of Charlene Butterbean camped outside the kittens' door, and the rest of us all crouching right behind her, waiting just as eagerly.
ReplyDeleteI gasped out loud! What a face! Love black kitties and this one is perfect! Must not nom on him! NOM!
ReplyDeleteYay! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteI was so excited about the update that I ran over to my dorm mate's room and was like, "KITTENS!" and she just looked at me and slammed the door...
ReplyDeleteBut I am still so very excited...
Hi precious one!
ReplyDeleteSmall, dark and handsome!!
kleinwort,,, small, dark and handsome,,, that's a good one.
ReplyDelete:)
Ooops, that'll be my heart I lost then!
ReplyDeleteBaby!!
ReplyDeleteYoung Senor Coal is adorable beyond belief!
ReplyDeleteMiss Butterbean, amy I come over with my own supply of towels and drool while I wait for their public debut with you? Only about 45 minutes......
(sigh - to my Toes and Marbles, I still love you!)
He looks just like the newest addition to our zoo.
ReplyDeleteOh I can't wait to see more of him. I am lucky to have Buzzo handy to scrach after looking at this beautiful baby.
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing the little one's name is Fritz.
