That is definitely a "come hither" look...the head tilted downwards, the eyes looking up a bit, little pouty mouth...who could resist the gorgeous Mr. Clovis Ashby?
I have loved the look of this black kitten ever since you posted the first picture of him. Black cats have wonderful personalities, and are often overlooked when it comes to adoption. My own little black gal was the tiniest of her litter, but held her own with her two big brothers in all kinds of monkey business, and was the boldest and quickest to learn of the three! Someone's going to have a wonderful friend and companion in Clovis (a perfect name, by the way!)
Oh, Mr. Clovis, you are kitty perfection. Look at you in your classic kitty pose. It's hard to tell, but I don't think your tiny tail even reaches around to your paws yet.
And speaking of paws, did all the glass cleaner come off your feet?
Here's hoping you have a lovely day, 'cause you just made mine a whole lot happier.
Oh lordy! My daughter had a beloved Clovis! This is perfect. I have to say that this picture of tiny Clovis makes me think of one of Eloise's (who lived at the Plaza) expressions, "feeling a bit sad between the arms".
How cute he is!! Look at these eyes.... They are all very cute actually!
Black cats are usually very clever. My sister has a little Reglisse (meaning liquorice in French) who is the cleverest cat I have ever seen: she opens doors, drawers, she hides her toys. An amazing little doll!
And he's put on his best white eye-liner to emphasize those come-hither eyes.
"Come away with me, and our life together will be perfect bliss. You will rub my tummy as I lie in your lap, and we will wile away the evenings to the sound of my manly purrs."
I like that if you look close he has this sly little smile going on - the eyes are all serious but the mouth says he is a clever one. They are all so cute and the names are all so great!
And now Clovis. OK, I can't take anymore of this!! They're too much. And, as always, the names are wonderful (but it sounds like Craig's got a kitty crush on Bunny!).
How is Charlene taking the new ones, and vice versa?
Black kitties are my favorite! I've always wanted one, and I had one (Familiar) for awhile, but I couldn't afford to keep him, and my Angel was having a hard time adjusting. I still miss him & can't wait for the day I can have another black kitty!

ReplyDeleteI've never posted before, but I read your blog every day! Thank you! It always makes my day.
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering, do the new owners typically keep the kitties' original names?
Dana
Hehe, dont look so mad kitty...

Dana,, I would say that about 75% of our kittens have kept their names.
ReplyDeleteHe's hypnotizing me..."you are getting very sleepy..."

ReplyDeleteClovis, I am pleased to make your acquaintance!
