No More Norman!
Yep, he's gone. So are Bunny and Milton. It's a kitten-free, quiet house this morning. More on their departures to come (next week). And hopefully more kittens next week too. The kitten flood hasn't hit the Humane Society yet, so I'm not sure how long our wait will be. I've already started nagging Traci, and she promises the next litter is mine. Right Traci???
Sue's got a batch of babes,, so in the mean time,, we'll have her cute little fellows to look at. You will meet them tomorrow.

ReplyDeleteDarlin' Ashbys, we hardly knew ye!
But you're gonna have a ton of fun in your furever homes!
Thanks for bringing us Sue's bebes in the interim, Laurie!
I commented awhile back on my foster kitten, Cassie, wondering how you do it. Someone asked for an update... so after 7 months of fostering (yes I cannot believe no one spoke up for 7 months either!) someone finally applied to adopt her... and we couldn't do it. We decided to keep her!
ReplyDeleteLucky thing for me is that it was my boyfriend begging me to keep her, not the other way around! How could I say no to a man asking to keep a kitten? Not to mention her 2-inch toe floof.... I posted some updated pictures so you can see what a beauty she has become.. she's just barely 9 months old and she's HUGE! Thanks again for all the kind words of encouragement :)
heres the link if it didn't work above

Good they found a home. And excellent, excellent pictures. What an awesome cat.
ReplyDeleteI think I have just died from cute overload. Good luck Norman!
ReplyDeleteOh, he was so cute!! I wish him all happiness in his new home. Not enough pix of Bunny -- I wanted to see more of her! :)
ReplyDeleteI just want to pick up that little fuzzball o' love and snorgle away!!!
ReplyDeleteEvery time I saw his fluff, I'd think "Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear . . ."
ReplyDeleteahh. in the last photo he seems to be saying, "say it isnt so mommy!"
ReplyDeleteNorman is such a beautiful little fluff ball!
Alyssa Cassie is not a kitten is she ? ;) She doesnt look like it!! Lovely and floofy though :)
ReplyDeleteDoodle Bean can I snorgle him after you please? That last pic is priceless!!
I miss them already.
ReplyDeleteMartin,
ReplyDeleteYou may!
:o)
I want to snorgle after Martin, please! Happy new home, Norman :)
ReplyDeleteAlyssa, glad you found a way to keep your baby with you..she is a beautiful girl. I have never tried to foster but I expect I'd want to keep them all. You and your family are going to love Cassie for a long time ;o)
ReplyDeleteOh my...that last pic of Norman is adorable.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe the Ashby's have flown the nest! Poor Butterbean will be wondering what's going on.
I wish them well in their forever homes, and hope there are new kittens soon, so that Butterbean (and the rest of us) don't get kitten aches >^..^<
Oooh. . . in the last shot Norman is telling Laurie I Wuv You This Much! Thanks for taking such good care of him, and blessings on the next batch!
ReplyDeleteI don't know how you do what you do. I miss them just from your posts and photos - having those adorable, fun kittens in my home for only a month or two would break my heart when they go to their new home!
ReplyDeleteHow does Miss Charlene deal with the empty nest?
Chanter - This is a series of three photos of little Norman taken by someone who is seated with the little guy lying on his back on their legs.
ReplyDeleteThey are similar in context. In the first one he has his sweet floofy front paws curled up by his face. In the second, the photographer's hand is gently petting him, and in the third he has his front legs raised on either side of his head in the "touchdown" position. Either that or he's covering his ears in an attempt to deny the inevitable... That he's leaving the nest.
Scrumptious.
haha she's 9 months young! i still consider that a kitten, but i guess it's subjective. she's a maine coon though; she's going to be huge! i'll put a couple pics from when we first got her on my photobucket so you can see how much she's grown in 7 months.
ReplyDeletethanks for the encouragement, i plan to love her for as long as possible :) I swear my dog would be the saddest to see her go, they really love each other it's so sweet.
So glad all the kittens found their forever homes so fast...and no wonder, the Ashby's are an irresistable family...
ReplyDeletewishing them the spoiled and treasured lives they deserve~
i miss the babies. but believe you me, sue's kitties are the bee's knees. i'll try not to say too much yet ... they're just so darn cute!
ReplyDeleteOh, Norman. This was all way too fast. Whenever I see a picture of you I think of that '60s song by Sue Thompson:
ReplyDelete"Norman, ooh, ooh, ooh
Norman, hmm, hmm, hmm
Norman, Norman, my love....
You ARE a love Norman, and you take all our love w/you as you move into your new family.
That first picture is so sweet... Sad they are gone, but i am sure lots of new foster kitties will come your way soon...
ReplyDeletemy god i am so jealous! i love this little kitten.
ReplyDeleteohhhh...Norman, you little sweetie...Hope your new parents will update us...YOU so Lovely YOU!!! - Jeanne sniiifff...
ReplyDeleteGood luck, Norman! You are too cute! Snorgly delicious!
ReplyDeleteWell, as sad as I am to see them go, I am so happy they are all at their new homes and had such a great start. Although this has shown me that I really couldn't do what you do - I am so sad to see them go and I never even met them. I realy admire that you help all these little guys out.
ReplyDeleteAlso, can I just say that these pictures of him with his paws up are super-adorable. Oh my gosh.
That last picture of Norman is so adorable!!!!!!! Bye-bye babies!
ReplyDeleteDarn - We don't get to call out "Norman!" every time we visit IBKC!
ReplyDeleteWhat am I going to do now????
sigh - so many mixed feelings
if their new forever families can give us updates - we will be FOREVER grateful!!
Alyssa, thanks for keeping your foster. I felt the same way about mine after 6 months. Everyone was telling me to keep little Pepi (by then she wasn't so little). Even Pepi made it clear she wanted to stay. She was almost 1 and no one had adopted her yet. I didn't think anyone would adopt her since she just sulks in the back of the cage and snaps at people like Oscar the Grouch. So I kept her and she's very happy.
ReplyDeleteI wish you many years together as a family.
Jason - I know it wasn't an easy choice for you, but sometimes the kitties make the choice for us.
ReplyDeleteGiven her attitude at adoption events, she made her choice very clear.
Happily ever after to you both.
Norman, OMG! Could you be any cuter? *swoons*
ReplyDeleteThe IBKC has been linked on the new format of http://cuteoverload.com/
ReplyDeleteLook on the left hand side under "More! More! More!"
Aww Norman... What a precious wittle boy.
ReplyDeleteAre you kidding me!? This is one cute kitteh!
ReplyDeleteHey Itty Bitty! I am in Seattle, too!
