This is my mom. For the record, I tried to call her first to get permission before posting a picture of her nightgown on the Internet. But Mom,,you weren't home. I know you would of said yes anyway. You're always a sport.
Happy Mother's Day to you Mom, I love you! I wish I could be there to celebrate this day with you.
I would also like to wish a Happy Mother's day to Ms Lovejoy, wherever you are. Your babies are doing great. I think you would be quite proud of what good kittens they are. They are so loving, well-mannered, and of course, beautiful.
AND Happy Mother's Day to ALL of you mothers out there! I hope you all have the loveliest of days.
XO Laurie
PS That's Willamena perched on Mom's foot.

ReplyDeleteI wish I had a tiny kitten sitting on my foot just like that. I would never ever move.
ReplyDeleteAnd happy Mother's Day to Miss Butterbean as well!... the most adoptive cleaner and cuddler and lover of kittens that I have ever seen.
ReplyDeleteOnly YOU could have a mother so gracious as to sit still and allow a tiny kitten to cuddle up on her foot like that! I'm sure that got uncomfortable for her-- but was a mighty fine little resting place for Willamena!
ReplyDeleteHere's to all the mothers-- which is to say, here's to every female who has nurtured a little soul in need- be they two legged or four!
Happy Mother's Day to Laurie and Charlene for all the special love they give to their foster children.

ReplyDeleteAll mommiez should getz lots of head butts an' purrz because dey ♥ us so much and takes such good carez of us.
ReplyDeleteWhere are most of your foster kittens mums? Have they died or are they just not able to care for the kitties? :-(
ReplyDelete-J
J- With a lot of our kittens, they are dropped off at the shelter, and you don't know their whole story. Often, pet owners keep the mom, and surrender the kittens. Sometimes people just drop off stray kittens they've found.
ReplyDeleteKittens do come in with moms all the time, we just don't foster litters with moms.
Well I think that's a GREAT nightgown, and an excellent photo. It looks like an Impressionist painting, what with the cut off figure, the unusual angle, and the fresh colors.
ReplyDeleteYou're so right when you say that the IItty Bitties are so much smaller than we think they are! he is soo tiny!
ReplyDeleteYour mom's nightgown is beautiful! She looks like such a lady with a kitten perched daintily on her foot!
ReplyDeleteSharon's gonna kill you Laurie! (not really, but she'll act all mad about this).
