When It's Time to get Clean, You Turn to The Bean
Usually by this age, the kittens are pretty good at keeping themselves clean. They love Charlene, but prefer to have her as wresting and romping partner rather than their own personal groomer.
Not Neville, He still loves a good bath from the Buttebean. He'll let her lick him from head to tail, ear to ear, and purr the whole time she's doing it.

Can I be next, please oh please? So sweet!
ReplyDeleteAwwwwww. I love the Lovejoys. They are too cute!
ReplyDeleteNeville is a momma's boy. I love that Charlene takes to each batch of kittens so well. What a good foster mother.
ReplyDeleteAwww Love Neville and Charlene...
ReplyDelete*Scritches and snorgles* to the pair of you!
You know what kills me the most? Look at the Bean's hold on Neville! She's got him in the patented Bean Grip.
ReplyDeleteI love that Beam. And I'm secretly disappointed Laurie isn't actually giving her away. She'd be mine by hook or crook!
Charlene's saying: "You could grow spuds behind these ears, there's so much muck! I don't know, young kittens these days. Now when I was young...."
ReplyDeleteOh, ok, so she's an American cat....so does she say "potatoes"?
Is there anything more adorable than one kitty giving another a bath? My roommate's cat Ginny tries to groom my Smokey, but Smokey's not too keen on the idea. It's too bad, I'd love to watch. However, Smokey will occasionally deign to groom Ginny, and I just melt anytime I see it.
ReplyDeleteNeville looks soooooo pleased! And I do love that tight grip Ms. Bean keeps on him.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo series, Laurie!
Such a lovely series of photos! But, my gosh, Neville sure has grown a lot! Are the delightful Lovejoys going to their forever homes soon?
ReplyDeletethe bean is so wonderfully thorough - the arms holding tight are the best.

Yay! Happy, happy kittehs!
ReplyDeleteAw Mamma's Boy Neville! He has such a trusting, relaxed face as the Bean sandpapers him with her tongue :-)
ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet and cute. And Neville looks so happy to just sit there and get clean, it is just so adorable.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE how she *hugs* him at the same time. She is such a good mommy!!
ReplyDeleteNeville doesn't want to be "just" clean - he wants to be "Butterbean" clean!
ReplyDeleteHow freakin' cute are those pics!! I might just pass out.....
ReplyDeletewhere is my glucose monitor????
ReplyDeleteCharlene sent me an envelope and I can ahrdly wait to open it!
Sarah, I'll arm wrestle you for the next Butterbean bath. :)
ReplyDeleteSuper news from the Cattery ~ my dashing boyfriend Tyrone was adopted today! It was love at first sight for us, but I still let him go. He's a very handsome 2-year-old black & white boy who now lives with a human toddler. He's the perfect first cat for that little guy.
And big YAYs for sweet Bianca, Missy, and Jewel who all found their new forever homes too! Plus, big boy Tonka is going to a rescue organization! Today is a good day to be a cat.
oohhh look how happy Nevill is in Charlene's arms...ohh i wish I can sneak in too.... - Jeanne
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet series of photos. I want to be next!
ReplyDeleteIs better when someone else cleans you....
ReplyDeleteSome cats were born to be mamma cats, and some cats were born to be baby cats.
ReplyDeleteI had a pair like that once. The older cat adopted the new kitten, and they kept on as mamma and kitten for years, with the bathing and the nursing and the whole nine yards.
Oh my that is the sweetest thing. Aunties are the best (and I can say that because I AM one!) :)
ReplyDeleteYeah for the Bean!! And great news about Tonka. Knew he was a keeper.
