Francine Gets Frank

DSC_0834
As you know, all of us Darling kittens will be leaving our little nest soon and taking up residence with fabulous new families. I am quite excited about our new adventures, but frankly, I am a little nervous about turning over our fundraising campaign to... well... I hate to say this but,, amateurs.

When the new kittens move in, I know they'll be focused on mastering the litter box, eating solid foods, and napping. There will be no time to learn the complicated telethon phone system or how to change the numbers on our tote board.

You can see, we're doing quite well. We've met about 85 percent of our goal. I am thinking that if we all tried REAL hard,, we could reach the goal before this weekend is gone. What do you think? Can we do it??

Seasoned phone bank opurrrators Selma and Rhoda are standing by and ready to take your calls...

Thanks again for all your support. xoxo, Francine

  1. francine, you tell them that even if they donate just a few bucks, those few bucks add up and add up and BAM more good things for kittens! So, even a $2 every-few-days donation is mighty!

  4. Oh, Francine, even though we'll all fall in love with the next batch of babies, no way will they even approach the fantabulousness you and your siblings demonstrated at fundraising. You Darlings were the trailblazers.

  5. Francine, if the IBKC has taught us anything, it is how important (and cute) little things are!

  6. Why is Hubie not doing his job at the phone bank? Is he still waiting for calls from his girlfriends?

  15. Hey, Laurie made the Tacoma paper (again!). Although I don't think the columnist really has a good appreciation of the kitties!

  16. Thanks for pointing out the article, Sarah-in-T-Town...The last few lines sadly underscore how important this effort is to unborn generations of kittens!

Come on, folks, we can do it - for the kitties!

  18. I love little Selma so much. If she weren't so far away from Virginia she might become the fifth kitty in our home. Hope all the Darlings find loving abodes when they leave the enchanted Committee.
