Luigi and the Bean
We had a little visitor the other night, Mr Luigi Fortunato! When we came home with him, Butterbean was waiting in the window. I unzipped the carrier, and out he pounced. Charlene jumped off the window ledge and onto the floor, right next to the boy. He purred and purred and circled around her.
Charlene rarely plays favorites with the kittens, but of all the Fortunato kittens, Luigi was probably the one who received the most attention from Charlene. Mostly, because he was the one most willing to receive.
They spent the evening bouncing around the house. They chased each other up the stairs and down the stairs again and again. There was a lot of wresting on the living room rug, and of course, lots of pinning and licking. It was a joyous reunion.
Luigie has grown so much since he left our nest. He's very lanky and his tail is SUPER long. His baby face is looking a little pointier and his whiskers are starting to darken. Though his looks are shifting, what remains the same is his sweet little demeanor. He purred almost the whole time he was here.

Luigi is certainly handsome. Sigh, those tabby boys just take my breath away.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet! Everything's ok though, right? It was just a visit? His new home is working out and everything?
ReplyDeleteWhat a handsome little man. But I have to ask, why is he back? Didn't his home work out?
ReplyDeleteOh he is so cute with her - I am glad that they had a good time. But I do have to ask - why was he visiting? I hope it was just a friendly visit and not for some other reason.
ReplyDeleteIt's remarkable how grown up his face is now, but he's still Beany's baby.
ReplyDeleteyes heather and jason, just back for a visit.
ReplyDeleteOh, Luigi, you just get cuter and cuter!
ReplyDeleteIt's always so nice when friends can reunite.
ReplyDeleteOh, how cool! A chance for the Bean to see her protoge! Was it a sleepover??
ReplyDeleteYou can't see his face in the one pic, but I know he's looking up, adoringly!
the Bean is the best :D what a cute story <3
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute!
ReplyDeleteThe first picture is titled: "Big (crosseyed) Sister Is Watching You".
ReplyDeleteThose eyes are so blue!
So so cute. And a good time was had by all. :)
ReplyDeleteAwww- of course he purred the whole time - he loves you, The Bean and your home. Lots of good kitten memories there.
ReplyDeleteSo glad Luigi and Charlene had a chance to play! Great pictures. He really is a young cat now!
So adorable! No Dom?
ReplyDeleteDid I ever mention that I love Charlene Bean?
ReplyDeleteOh, and did Luigi bring home laundry for The Bean and eat her out of house and home?
ReplyDeleteAnd ask for money? ;-)
ReplyDeleteAnd then Luigi probably asked Charlene to borrow the car, and even 'though when he lived at home his curfew was 11 p.m., he stayed out until 12:15 a.m. during this visit. Charlene stayed up waiting for him and when he got home, she told him, "I know you're a teenager, but this is my house and when you're home, you have to obey my rules, little mister!"
ReplyDeleteThe next morning, Luigi slept until nearly noon, and when he got up, he padded down the fridge in his boxers and drank orange juice right of the carton. And Charlene STILL loves him!
They're Luigi, Luigi and the Bean, Bean, Bean, Bean, Bean!
ReplyDeleteLuigi: Gee, Bean, what are we going to do tonight?
Bean: The same thing we do every night, Luigi - try to take over the world!
hehe
What a good looking young man. So sweet.
ReplyDeleteGAACK - Nice to see Luigi again.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that all is well @ his house.
And Charlene really needed something to help distract her from the beings in THE ROOM
Wow, he sure has grown in the short time he's been gone. Looks like a good time was had by all.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful reunion!
ReplyDeleteChanter, in the first picture, Luigi is in the forefront, lounging on the rug, with his paws crossed very demurely over one another, and Charlene Butterbean looming right behind him.
In the second, she's sitting up, and he's lying at her feet, looking up at her with the "When I grow up, I want to be just like you" expression that would melt any Mother Earth (well, Mother Floof, or of course Father Floof) Kitty.
How cute is Charlene, just chilling out with the baby kittens like that!!
