  1. Is it just me, or does it seem like Craig has a tough life!

  2. I thought it was hard to always have my one cat climbing on me like that. Of course, he's 13 pounds but not nearly as wiggly as four kitties!

  3. Craig is like a kitten magnet. They seem to love piling on top of him.

  4. It looks like Craig is becoming overwhelmed by the sleepy kitten vibes in that last shot....

How does he EVER leave the sofa???

  5. Oh i wanna be Craig in those pics! Love Arthur with his head in the mug. Is there anything beter than a pile of kittens?

  10. Oh lord, poor Craig...the things that he has to endure...I would gladly volunteer to be the kitty bench if he needs to escape from this torture :-)

Nothing better than being under a pile of kittens!

  18. What a lucky, lucky boy Craig is! A kitten blankie!

  19. SO DARN CUTE! He does look like the floof is starting to overwhelm him in the last shot. Totally understandable, as the floof is saturated in warm sleepy drug molecules.

In my household, with my husband, this goes one of two ways - 1) for cold drinks, the cat always eventually sticks his dirty little hairy foot in, or knocks over the cubes and plays with them on the floor or 2) for hot drinks, cat sniffs coffee or tea with milk/cream and sneezes in it...but we love him. Of course we love him, that's why we let him do whatever he wants and serve his every whim...

  20. I'm with Anonymous @11:17.. the pictures needed hovertext. :)

I've always loved the hovertexts from the lunch pictures: canihaveabite? and laugh any time my cats come nosing around for food, figuring that they're thinking the very same thing, and yes, all in one word like that.

I laughed out loud at the mug on the head shot.. looks like the bucket on the head shot on Cute Overload today.

Glad that you're not participating in the No Cats on the Internet day.. :)

  21. Oh, to be bathed in kitten goodness and fluff... I'm jealous!

  22. Okay, that decides it. Arthur is my favorite of this flock of kittens. He "went deep" in a Portmeirion mug.

As for husbands, that's a special one. Handsome, and he obviously loves the little ones! In the fourth photograph, he looks as if he's telling Benny, "It's okay, little brother, I won't let Arthur fall into the cup."

And the poor guy can't even get up in the last photograph! He's pinned down by the collective weight of the Musselmans!

  23. Gotta agree with Cynthia - Craig must be a special one when it comes to husbands, Laurie. How terrific he is with the little ones! And he does get rewarded with relaxing kitten piles!

  24. OK this is seriously one of my top 5 ibkc moments.

  25. I want to be buried under adorable adorable kittehs!

I seriously don't know how you're allowed to have so much adorable-ness in one place. Should defy the laws of physics or something...

    :-)

  26. all that's missing is Butterbean...

  27. I too want to be Craig. There is nothing like a kitty pile sleeping on you. I bet it must feel so comforting to feel their warmth and purring. I am so jealous!

  28. Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  29. My husband is one of those guys who says he doesn't like cats, but is constantly scritching them behind the ears and having long conversations with them. He thinks I don't see these things!

He's particularly fond of our nearly 18 year old dowager queen, Petunia. She's deaf as a post and he responds to her high volume meows with, "Why are you yelling at me, old girl?" He just won't admit he likes cats even 'though he cares for them when I travel for work, gives them treats, etc.

Of course, he's never had kittens -- we've had foundling cats for a long time now. At some point, when our "inventory" gets low and assuming nobody shows up on the doorstep, we'll get a couple of kittens. I think that will put him over the edge into being a true cat lover, and ADMITTING it!

  30. Nothing like a human bed for comfort!

  31. "Dad, where are the crumpets?"

    ReplyDelete
  32. Wow - a first!
Benny isn't on the bottom of the pile!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Yep, a little whiskey in the coffee mug and the kittens will sleep peacefully all afternoon. I learned that trick while babysitting my brother.

(Just kidding Craig, I know you wouldn't do that in real life. And I never did that either. I couldn't find my parent's bottle of whiskey.)

  34. Nothing more relaxing than a kitten puddle blanket! Isn't it awesome that the blankets get bigger over time? They get warmer too!

    ReplyDelete
  35. personally i do not like the 20 lb adult 'kitten' blanket, on top of my blankets and usually between by ankles in the middle of the night! its stifling hot and like trying to move a 20 lb lump of butter!
Laurie really knows how to post em.
She knew this would keep us entertained for a while.
Way to use the 'hub' there Laurie! tee hee

  36. I was going to rhapsodise about these photos but I've decided to go the non-creepy route and just say: Laurie, you lucky woman.

  37. Whoa! That last shot reminds me some how of the now famous shot of the kittens lined up on Craig's legs. Can't wait to see what clever caption someone comes up with for one of the shots in this series!

    ReplyDelete
  38. oh Lucky Craig..all those babies on him..I would love to be on that sofa..Really Arthur cracked me up with his head in the mug..ahahahha..they are soooo sooo sweet..

  39. This looks like heaven! Ah to be covered in kittens...

  40. Ah, the Portmeirion Botanic Garden mug. The perfect complement to fluffy kittens.

It's a cool, rainy day in Brooklyn today, and I could really use a few kittens sleeping on me...

    ReplyDelete
  41. Oh, oh, oh!!! That does indeed look like heaven... Looking at this post made me so HAPPY!!
