Miss Millie Plants Her Bottom in a Vase
We've got a corner shelf running floor to ceiling in our dining room. This is where I display a collection of pottery. The bottom shelf is at kitten level, and no litter has resisted exploring this region. It's a very popular haunt.
Millie has been particularly fascinated with the pottery on the shelf. I have caught her on multiple occasions with her little bum parked inside this vase. I guess it's just fun for her because she fits in it so perfectly.
See for yourself...

She is so cute and I think she is a camera hog and likes being in front of it -- she is quite a ham.
ReplyDeleteShe's the ittiest bittiest little orange girl!
ReplyDeleteMight I borrow a cup of Millie, please?
ReplyDeleteShe's a pottery princess! Too cute! My girls are much too big to fit in any of my Fiestaware vases. Perhaps a bowl...
ReplyDeleteToo cute! Perfect for serving a little orange marmalade. By the way, if it has not already been said 100x, love the video clips. Just when I thought this site couldn't get any cuter with the pics...
ReplyDeleteI think viewing of this should be prescribed instead of some of those happy pills.
ReplyDeleteShe's adorable
ReplyDeleteYou're brave to let the kitties hop in and out of that nook! I'd be afraid that after they'd gotten big enough, they'd be able to knock things down.
ReplyDeleteAwwwwww.... how damn CUTE!
ReplyDeletethat creamer on the right is just begging to be pushed off.
ReplyDeleteShe is so cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog very much makes me smile!!
Diane
That is the cutest thing I've seen all day!
ReplyDeleteFor some reason she reminds me of a little mermaid in a clam shell!! She's the cutest little thing!
ReplyDeleteThe little launch out of the vase is just too adorable for words! Miss Millicent, you're just a cup'o'cute!
ReplyDeleteSo very cute! It's like she's in a special little clam shell boat just waiting to sail off to Neverland or Fantasy Kitty Land!
ReplyDeleteNotice the little chip in the pottery.. probably the victim of one too many rambunctious kittehs..
ReplyDeleteA centerpiece! I want that!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy Draper's Cup-O-Kitten™!
ReplyDeleteYes, she does look a bit like Boticelli's famous painting of Venus in the clam shell.
Heh. Love that. Reminds me completely of Scout's baby picture, which is here:

The moment I saw it, I knew I was going to adopt him.
Well she found a nice place for herself... Too bad she will grow out of it...
ReplyDeleteAww, she must weigh nothing - the cup didn't even tip as she jumped out of it.
ReplyDeleteSuch a content looking little girl.
HAPPY NATIONAL CAT DAY! to all the felines out there

Re: Kitten in vase: Your kitten crop is coming in well. Be careful, though...your bean crop got very large.
ReplyDeleteoh good grief,
ReplyDeleteis that Perry at the end of the video?
he looks like moose compared to millie
he so SO not fitting in the pretty vase.
(i'm suprised those vases have survived so many ittie bitties) :)
Oh gosh, please nudge that piece on the right back an inch or two! It makes me nervous!
ReplyDeleteAnd how soon will it be that Miss Millie is a full grown kitty and we will all marvel that she was ever small enough to fit in such a tiny vase? And yet, so small she was.....
Good grief, she is so itty bitty and adorable.
ReplyDeleteI also agree Perry is looking quite un-itty next to Millie.
I am wondering if you have been using that "Quake Hold" stuff to hold the gorgeous pieces in place thru all those IBK's?
Mmhmm, yesss, I see. This is a classic example of Kitteh Law #2, which states definitively: "If I fits in it, I sits in it."
ReplyDeleteOh Millie, you're so tiny and gorgeous! Especially compared to big boy Perry!
For a while there it looks as if she is tring to "read" the wallpaper like the kitten in the comic strip "Rose is Rose" *grin*
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect vase for a delicate little blossom.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason I never seem to be able to get the videos to play....wonder if others are having the same trouble?
ReplyDeleteYou need to have Flash to play them. Go here to download the latest version...
