Enter my kitchen and you'll be followed by a tiny band of screaming, crying, climbing, hungry kittens. Sure they ate an hour ago, but as far they're concerned, a human in the kitchen = meal time.
Yep, that's about how it goes around here at mealtime. Even if we've just been grooming Jada (and she gets cranky when that happens), she turns into a little mewling lovebug as soon as that can of food comes out.
I think they're all just telling you "you have cute shoes....but as long as you're in here, how about some food?"
My Sophia is convinced every time the fridge opens there's something coming for her...which is so strange since her food is kibble and cans, that doesn't come from the fridge...
OH, Evangeline doesn't necessarily dermand food. TREATS, though - a trip to the kitchen is worthy of celebrating with...a TREAT. Someone new comes to the house? FESTIVAL, break out the treats. Someone's leaving? Just drop a little something in the bowl on the way out, would you? (Lilliane sleeps through most of these, could that be why she's svelte and Evvie looks like she's hiding a basketball?)
Can I just please have a moment, I think my heart just lept out of my body. I love those Drapers!!

ReplyDeletemy kitties are like that, especially 9. Boy, does he cry when it's time for dinner :D
ReplyDeleteHmmmm, my "kittens" still do that in the kitchen! The babies have to constantly refuel all those calories they're burning up!
ReplyDeleteCute! My cat swears up and down that I haven't fed him since I got him 8 years and 16 pounds ago.
ReplyDeleteOMG two-tone ears!
ReplyDeleteMy kittens are the same way (despite turning 5 in August); ditto my other cats.
ReplyDeleteLittle bottomless pits!

I loves me some Millie trying to catch her some play-toy! (photo #4)
ReplyDeleteOne of mine comes running anytime I rustle anything that sounds like a ziploc baggie (think deli bag) like its magic!
The photos are super cute!
ReplyDeleteIt's funny, human + kitchen = feed me! is an equation that kittens are born knowing, and never forget ;)
hahahahahahaha....hehehehe!!! Soooo cute. :)
ReplyDeleteAren't what's his name's ears great? The white on the outside tips is just what's needed to distinguish him from what's his name.
ReplyDeleteLove those ears with the white on the backside. That's just too, too cool.
ReplyDeleteAnd you just taunt them mercilessly by taking pictures instead of coming up with the food! Hee hee. My cat is the same way.
ReplyDeleteThe eyes on the third picture... The hungry eyes... I get those from Mr. Minou every waking moment.

ReplyDeleteMillie looks so much like my sweet Juice (gone two years now) that it hurts my heart.
ReplyDeleteLove how you describe it, "tiny band" lol.
ReplyDeleteWould love it if you could get video of this.
