YES! They're here! As I type this, Walter and Ira are tearing about the room with bellies so big, they nearly touch the ground.
Pictures later,,, I've got to get them all settled in and give them a good scrubbin'. We've got some crusty, dusty, smelly-belly kittens here. I love these crusty, dusty, smelly-belly kittens and I sure am glad they're home.
Hooray!!!

ReplyDeleteA very merry Christmas to you and the whole gang.
I've been checking the blog every day, hoping. What great news!
ReplyDeleteScooterpants: I think the diagnosis is 'severe kitten tummy'. I don't know about Laurie, but my experience as a foster mom is that most foster kittens get some degree of diarrhea. I think it's a combination of changed food and other stresses that these babies are subjected to.
ReplyDeleteExcellent news and an even better Solstice present!
ReplyDeleteYay!
ReplyDeleteEar-to-ear grin. Happy, happy, grateful heart. xo
ReplyDeleteWell of course they are!
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful news and a sure sign of the power of the pure positive healing thoughts of the extended worldwide IBKC family!
Ms. Laurie, reading your excitement through your written words is like getting sucker punched with a ray of pure sunshine after a dreary day.
I am SOOOO happy to hear this wonderful news! Yay for the Finches!
ReplyDeleteWonderful news!
ReplyDeleteAnd Laurie, I know some people might think this cheesy, but the fact that they had known a loving home before taking ill, and the fact that you even visited them to remind them that they are loved, definitely played a part in their recovery. Well done!
Most likely it was just the adjustment to new surroundings and new diet. Who knows, they could of been pulled off of mom the day they came into the shelter. Nearly all kittens go through a period of diarrhea when they first arrive. Theirs just was worse, and longer, and when you have diarrhea and vomiting, you get dehydrated, which makes them vomit more,,, and then they don't feel like eating...then complications start.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy they're back home with you. This makes my week!
ReplyDeleteWoo Hoo! So glad they're home!
