Emory is Doing His Personal Best

DSC_0217

After all of yesterday's naughtiness, I had a long talk with the kittens. Emory expressed to me that he regrets jumping up on the table and licking the craft projects. He promised that he will do his best to keep such impulses under control and touch only items designated for kitten play.

He did ask that I explain what is and isn't appropriate for kittens because it can be quite confusing at times. He cited the pipe cleaner as an example.

SO to clarify, Emory....

Pipe cleaner in the craft room: not a toy, it's a craft supply. Pipe cleaner on the floor in any room other than the craft room: it's a cat toy.

  1. OMC I so need to get a few of those for these guys, they haven't had any in so long. But Curzon will drag them around and cry/talk at all hours of the night - well, like he does everything else!

  6. Aww! I give my girls pipe cleaners, too. Sparkly ones.

Kitties do not understand the idea behind the craft room/craft closet. My girls come a-runnin when they hear the closet door open. I don't get it. Perhaps because is it forbidden!

  7. What an adorable, innocent face? Even if he had taken a "non cat toy" pipe cleaner, I could not scold such a face. :-)

  10. I don't know, Laurie, he still looks a little confused....maybe you should send all the pipe cleaners not in your craft room over to my household of kittens. Just a suggestion :)

  12. And who determines the migration of pipe cleaners from the craft room to any other room? Just asking...

  13. Dear Clement,
Curtains in the craft room are not a toy and are not to be climbed. Curtains in any other room: It's a toy. Errrr, wait a minute, that doesn't sound right.

Such an innocent look...who me...I won't do anything naughty...right now of course. My tuxedo kitty loves pipe cleaners and his favorite is a green colored one. He chases it all over the fake wood (linoleum) floor in the dining area.

  15. Laurie's little chat with Emory reminded me of this very interesting little chat that Abbot and Costello once had...

The look in poor Emory's eyes seems to communicate the following sentiment:

    "Say what?"...

Another fun day in IBKC land...
