This is Pinky. She's fresh out of the tub, after getting a bath from the fabulous "Bath Brigade" down at the HS.
Pinky came into the shelter covered in fleas, and on death's doorstep due to flea anemia. She was named "Pinky" because her coat literally turned pink from all of the flea blood in her bath water.
Now that's she's been treated, and is clean and flea-free, she's doing great. She'll be spending some time with a foster family, and once she's made a full recovery, she'll be available for adoption.
Thanks to your generous donations today, kitties like Pinky are getting a chance at a very good life.
I thank you for that. This sweet little kitty deserves it.
xoxo
PINKY UPDATE! First of all,, Pinky's a boy!! Sorry, little man,, I was misinformed! And get this,, SUE (of Pitter Pats fame) is be going to be taking care of this little fellow until he's ready for surgery! You just hit the lottery, Mr. Pinky!
Sue reports he's doing awesome, purring, and zooming about! Yay!!
Pinky looks like she's not very happy about having her picture taken before she's done her hair. :)
ReplyDeleteI've been putting it off for no good reason, so I'll make my donation. Then I'm going to make a donation to my local cat rescue (http://www.mrfrs.org/), too.
Pinky is so cute! Looks like my own favoritest cat ever. I wish I had room to bring her home.
ReplyDeleteOh, that face! I have to make a donation...
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, little Pinky - your life gets better and better from now on...
ReplyDeleteWhooohooo Sue!
ReplyDeleteLucky dude, Pinky!
ReplyDeleteLove your "What the purr...!!!" expression.
Aw Pinky looks like one of my best kitties ever, Ding. He was a sweetie.

ReplyDeletewhat a lovely little man!! thank you, sue, for taking him in!! <3
ReplyDeletePinky get to hang out with Randall?!!! yeah!!
ReplyDeletePinky made me cry. I have never, EVER seen an animal look so HOPEFUL. It's an "I'm kinda nervous about what's coming but not all humans are meanies and THESE humans are taking care of me, so maybe I'll have a home someday too!"
ReplyDeleteLook at the size of his paws! Life is going to get so much better for you, Pinky!!!
ReplyDeleteI totally am looking forward to updated pics of this darling kitty as time goes on. I WANT a kitty!!
ReplyDeleteApril said it perfectly (sorry, purrrrfectly) - it's why this picture is so...just, I just want to look at him all day and then smoosh him. OMG. I am so happy he's in better shape. The world is a little brighter for your work.
ReplyDeleteYay, Sue. Woohoo!
ReplyDeleteWe are sending much love to little Pinky ~ we think Pinky's life is gonna get so much better now.
ReplyDeletePinky is so handsome - the expression on his face is priceless. What an awesome little dude.
ReplyDeleteOh, poor bit... felt all itchy and weak, then got taken to a confusing new place where who knows what would happen.
ReplyDeleteThink he's realized though that he's being taken care of, getting plenty of cuddles and kibble, and life's looking up!
PLEASE can we get a picture of what Pinky looks like when he is dry?
ReplyDeleteYes, would love to see more of Pinky! And any other shelter stories you can share!
ReplyDeleteMarlene - I noticed the pawsies, too! I bet he is a stunner! Sue MUST post pictures of him when he is all dry and fluffy!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, Robyn over at http://www.love-and-hisses.com/ is fabulous too! I follow all three of these sites! You'll fall in love too!
That poor, sweet baby. I'm glad he's all running around and purring now. He's a big itty bitty!
ReplyDeleteFor everyone who wants updates, Sue's Pitter Pats of Baby Cats blog is in the blogroll to the right. Her baby kitties, and her grown up kitties, are just as sweet as Laurie's.
Sweet Pinky! He looks suprisingly curious and OK for a dude who just got scrubbed (mine sure hated it). I bet he felt better immediately with all of the yuck off him and his skin clean.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh what a face. Pinky is so cute, I'm glad he got rid of all those awful fleas poor thing!
ReplyDeleteyes, please, dry Pinky pic!! What a sweetie.
ReplyDeleteI swear strays always make the best pets. Once they get over their nerves, it just seems like they become so grateful and loving for their new life. "You mean I can have food whenever I'm hungry? My paws get to walk on a nice soft carpet? I get brushes and scritches and toys?? Really??"
I've fallen in love. Look at those eyes! And can't wait to follow his story on PPOBC with Sue.
ReplyDeleteOh goodness... What a sweet little face. *melts*
ReplyDeletePinky is a cutie, too!
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness!!! i heart pinky!!! and i guess i'd better catch up and get myself over to pitter pats to see more of him!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteR.I.P. Pinky, gone far too soon.
ReplyDeleteSo many of us fell in love with Pinky through this post and will miss him even though we never even met him in his short little life. Sleep softly, little starfish.
