We're all very excited around here because we've got a couple of very special lunch guests coming today!
Alison, winning bidder of "Tea with The Bean" and her guest Eleanor, Will be coming over soon and we can hardly wait to meet them!
We'll have lots of pics and the whole story to share later because I know you all will want to hear all the details of the day!
I'm so jealous! Tea with The Bean and Laurie, a chance to scritch some kitten ears and rub some floofy bellies, and checking out Laurie's house all in one day. I wish it were me! Enjoy your day Alison. I'll just be sitting home waiting for the photos to show up.
ReplyDeleteThere is a wave of jealousy swooshing 'round the world!
ReplyDeleteMaximize the fun by lying on the floor and wallowing in kittens....that would be my fondest 'dream'.
I hope Alison and Eleanor have a GREAT time.
oooh, have a wonderful time!!!
ReplyDeleteWe shall all sit here, pressing refresh, waiting to live vicariously through you :)
I second what S said. I shall live vicariously through you via the photos Laurie will post. Enjoy your time with La Bean and the furry Furman babes!
ReplyDeleteYay for Alison! Nice bonus that there is a current large batch of kittens in residence. Please kiss Curtis for me!
ReplyDeleteI'm certain Laurie and Miss Charlene will be the perfect hostesses, and might the menu include some salmon crudites and catnip tea? ;D
ReplyDeleteSo excited! Can hardly wait to hear about it!
ReplyDeleteYay! Jealously awaiting the pictures from the event. I can just see Bean eating her crunchies out of a teacup and saucer.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun to meet Laurie, The Bean and the Furman babies! Alison, you'll be forgiven (by me) if one or two of the little Furmans just happen to find their way into your purse not to be discovered until you are safely home ; ). Can't wait for the pictures
ReplyDeleteWe're intrigued ... do tell us all soon
ReplyDeleteAlison and Eleanor will have the loveliest time meeting Miss Bean and Laurie....but I am still envious. I hope they take the opportunity to lay on the floor and revel in a blankie o' kitties!
ReplyDeleteOoh! Have a great time, everybody! Lucky you, getting to meet not only Laurie and Charlene, but the tiny Furman floofies too! Please give Little Miss Edith an extra snuggle for me!
ReplyDeleteOh, this is just gonna be the BEST tea EVER! Like all the other posters, I'm excitedly anticipating the report and photos from this very special day.
ReplyDeleteAnd once again, a great big thanks to Alison for her generous bid/contribution to the fundraiser. (I don't know what it was, but I'm sure it was generous!)
Must --- have --- picutres!!!
ReplyDeleteoh, please, do tell, and Laurie, please give us an idea as to the winning bid and if this will be repeated next dog-a-thon, we need to start saving our friskies... as if that didn't reveal my age... Congrats to Alison. Hope it was all you thought it would be and MORE!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photo up there of the Great Ms. Bean. Truly stunning.

I think that is the MOST beautiful photo of Her Majesty, Queen Bean, I have ever seen.
ReplyDeleteHope everybody has a whale of a time at the tea party!
Anon - believe the winning bid was $735-ish. Alison was a huge help in Laurie reaching her goal, and what a supreme treat to hang out with the Bean and the babies for an afternoon :) I'm still waiting on those pictures!
ReplyDeleteWaiting, waiting. Betting you girls are exhausted from being so social and will report to us after a bit of a lie-down.
ReplyDeleteThat lovely girl got TWO prizes: the tea, (and yeah, what THEY all said!) and the realization that she performed a mitzvah - such an act deserves such an honor. Yes, please, ladies - know that you're representing us ALL! And even though we're all jealous, it's a warm and loving envy. "If not me, then Alison & Eleanor!"
