And Away They Go
Thanks to our friends at Met Vet, Lisa and family found their way to us. They were looking for a pair of kittens. Just a pair. A boy and a girl.
But then they met the Lively Bunch. Lambert had been spoken for already, so they had their choice of the remaining three.
Well, the girl part was easy, there was only one girl, and Fiona is fabulous. But the boy? They always have loved orange kittens. And they've always loved gray kittens. And Irving is so darn cute. And Truman is so darn cute.
And then Lisa said to her husband "Can we take all three?".
And he kind of laughed. Kind of.
I didn't need a decision then and there, so I suggested they give it some thought, and let me know when they've made up their minds.
A few hours later, I got an email, and yep, they wanted all three. Of course, they wanted all three. Could YOU take just two if you met these three kittens?
I didn't think so.
You'll be happy to know that Lisa is a blogger, and she promises an occasional kitty post. Click HERE to visit her blog, Life of Elle.
She and her husband also run an amazing organization called Sweet Hope, where they make and sell chocolates, and use the funds they raise to help orphans worldwide.
Please visit their website or Facebook page to find out more. Maybe there are a few folks on your Christmas list that might enjoy a box of handmade chocolate truffles.
How lucky are our kittens? They get to stay together, and they found a fabulous home.
Bye-Bye, Lively Bunch. Be good little kitties. Let me know how it goes with your new sibling "Busy" the Boxer. Oh, I'm sorry. Didn't I mention you're moving in with a one year old dog? I'm sure you'll be fine. There are three of you, and only one of her. You're busy, she's "Busy", it will all be Ok.

Yay for the Lively 3 and their new home. I know they'll have Busy the Boxer trained up in no time, and I can't wait to see pics of Truman grooming a dog!
ReplyDeleteHooray! So happy they get to stay together and have a boxer sister!
ReplyDeleteAnd no, I doubt anyone could resist all 3 of them at once. Good job, Lively kits!
Their first night went well and this morning they are their Lively selves. Busy has yet to meet them, but she is rather curious. She's going to have to wait a few more days to be formally introduced. She is large and they are small.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the family Livelys. We love you so.
Such cute kittens! I so hope we get updates!
ReplyDeleteooohhh..goodbye GORGEOUS kitties..It is such furtastic news to know that you THREE have been adopted together and will be staying together..Have a Great life with your new parents and doggy!
ReplyDeleteBye bye beautiful babies!! I'm really going to miss them. Lisa, you are one lucky lady. Can't wait to see pics of all of them with their half-sibling Busy. :) :)
ReplyDeleteI love the fact Lisa has already updated us, via her post above!
ReplyDeleteThe little collars and tags on the kittens always just kills me, it gives perspective to how small they are. It also looks like The Bean is very proud of her latest graduates, as well she should be.
Where are their collars and ID tags from? They're exactly what I'm looking for for my little gal!
ReplyDeleteThe tags and collars come from the shelter. The tags have the kittens' microchip numbers on them.
ReplyDeleteThree kittens, and one adolescent boxer. How glorious. I hope there will be boxer + kitten photos on Lisa's blog.
ReplyDeleteOh, I just can't stand it. I can't stand it! I can't stand the cuteness of these three kitties. Oh my gosh - what a lucky bunch and what a lucky family to have all three. I just love the Lively family. So happy they will stay together. Thanks for the grins the past few weeks little fur babies!
ReplyDeleteOh my, I couldn't chose one or two from this or any litter. I would be on Laurie's "No, you can't have any more Itty Bitties!!" list if I lived anywhere near Seattle!! I have yet to see an Itty Bitty I didn't love and want. Bean. Bean, too, can come live with me and all her babies. Plus my current clan.
ReplyDeleteWow, Irving is A Big Boy!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update Lisa!!
ReplyDeleteThey always look so "official" once they get their collars and tags. Kind of like little kids heading off to school for the first time with a big backpack and that excited and scared look all at once, wondering what's in store for them in that big world.
Good luck sweeties, and be good to your doggie sister :)
Ah, the medal ceremony - and they all get gold, yay! So precious and adorable. Love the beautiful portrait with the Bean too, of course.
ReplyDeleteHave a great life, Lively babies! You were an absolute delight to get to know. Snuggles for everyone!
I would swear Fiona's licking her lips in anticipation of truffle bowls and chocolate covered spatulas that need cleaning. Lucky Livelys. Lucky Lisa too.
ReplyDeleteKitty collars make me sad. =(
ReplyDeleteOkay, you three little kittens - make sure you don't lose your mittens! *sorry, I couldn't resist*
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear they are going together! And, looking good, Bean!
What a wonderful family these Lively kittens now have! Lisa, you will do just fine handling three kittens. Anyone who has survived the prolonged madness of international adoption can easily deal with kittens+puppy+boy without flinching. Love your blog and enjoyed seeing "our" Livelys already featured.
ReplyDeleteO, I love these graduation pictures- especially the one with Ms. Bean who looks terribly proud! What lucky kittens - they are going to be part of a terrific family! And lucky us: we'll get to visit from time to time!
ReplyDeleteWhat's this Charlene... are there new guests already??? Can't wait to find out what your tweets mean :)
ReplyDeleteLove that Lisa already has an update up on the little Livelys. Thanks Lisa for the big hearted adoption and letting us know they're doing well :)
ReplyDeleteOh they are all so adorable and I can understand why Lisa couldn't decide and ended up with all three. I just love their faces and their beautiful colorings. Kittehs you are so lucky to be going all together. Congratulations Lisa and Hubby on your new fur-family! Wishing you much joy and happiness with all three Lively kittehs. Thanks for already updating us. I have added your blog to the three I follow now.
ReplyDeleteBye bye lovely Lively babies!!! I'm so glad you're settling into your new home so well! Lisa, thanks for the update here and for the lovely post on your own site... "our" babies are gonna be well-loved, I can see that... yay!!!
ReplyDeleteP.S. That last picture kills me... the look on Irving's face!!! LOVE IT!!
ReplyDeleteYAY!!! That's so wonderful. It reminds me of my little men Rupert and Clovis Ashby - one became two. In this case, two became three - weeee!
ReplyDeleteThis literally brought a tear to my eye. I'm soooo happy for these three!! What a beautiful story!!! :D
ReplyDeleteLucky Livelies! I hope you warned their new mom that an "occasional kitty post" is going to be at least once a day, right?
ReplyDeleteHooray for the three little kitties!
ReplyDeleteI'm happy for the Livelys, BUT.........I was just looking at the archives and reliving the childhood of Rhoda Darling. You're right --- I don't think I could ever get anything done with a batch of kittens around all the time. That "coma-in-the-toy-when-I-ran-out-of-steam" is the very essence of kittenisma.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy the Livelies found a home together. All of the kittens you foster are special, but I was particularly smitten with this batch. I confess I am more than a wee bit jealous of their new parents. I look forward to staying in touch with them via their mom's blog.
ReplyDeleteHee! We adopted three kittens from the same litter four years ago (the conversation I had with my husband was verbatim to Lisa's!) and I can assure you they'll be a gang for life! Be prepared for lots of laughs - and for the household to be under new management :)
ReplyDeleteAhh, and finally on the last day, a photo of The Bean with the Lively kitties. I was beginning to think Charlene didn't get a chance to spend any time with the Lively bunch, that she didn't get a chance to give them baths, or to teach them the ways of the world. It does my heart good to see Aunty Bean looking over the babies. I don't suppose you have a photo of Lambert and The Bean stashed away you could share with us?
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that these three precious babies can stay together, play together and grow together. What a happy ending.
ReplyDeleteOh, this couldn't make me any happier!!! I've been a fan of Sweet Hope for a while now. Generous-hearted people doing inspired work. And now they have fabulous furries to help them. Bliss.
