Percy has a Little Lamb
We said goodbye to our little Lamb on Sunday. It wasn't easy. He's a special little fellow and he'll be missed by all the humans and felines in our household.
As sad as it was to say goodbye, we're quite happy for the lad. You see, he moved in with an exceptional family. In fact, you've met them before.
Do you remember Percy? He was one of Sue's foster kittens. I think he came along before she started Pitter Pats, but I told his story here on the IBKC.
Anyway... Percy was a handsome little Snowshoe adopted by my friends Nance and Jen, who are awesome, kitty loving people. He's two years old now, and even though he has a big sister to keep him company, he needed a little buddy to wrestle with, so Nance and Jen came over to meet The Lively Bunch.
They were charmed and dazzled by all the kittens, but Lambert's personality seemed to be the best fit for their family. So it was decided, Lambert was the one.
The day after our meet and greet, I put Lambert on the scale and saw he had crossed over the two pound mark. I called down to the shelter to see if there was room for him on the surgery schedule. There was, so Friday he went in for the old snippity-snip, that afternoon he came bouncing home, and Sunday, off he went.
Don't worry. This isn't the last of our little Lambert. Nance promises to take lots of pictures and keep us all updated.
The others won't be shuffling off until the end of the month, so there will be plenty more of The Lively Bunch. I've also got a few family portraits to share.
For now,,, here's a little more of Lambert.

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely orange boy...he'll be missed but he'll provide his new home with lots of laughs indeed!
I love the shot after the green box one (also super darling), where the two marmelades are looking out the window – and apparently have spotted something. Something startling it seems. :) They are adorable. Have a great one, Lambert! It'll be fun with two siblings (to pester)! xoxo
ReplyDeleteHe's a very special boy.
ReplyDeleteWhile I am sad to not see Lambert (LOL), it is always great news to hear about the kittens new homes. The have a home with a family who are already known to IBKC is just icing on the cake. Congrats to all!
ReplyDeleteOh how perfect!!!! I fell in love with Percy when he was featured here - and to think that he and his sib now get LoL to join their merry band - wonderful! ReplyDeleteLambert looks just like my Triscuit. May he have a wonderful life.
ReplyDeleteAwwwwwwwww, hope he loves his new forever home as much as I love mine prrrr

ReplyDeleteAnd oh my goodness, the blue of Irving's eyes... simply shattering to anyone's resistance!
oooohhhh..such a LOVEBUG Mr Lambert..Have a wonderful wonderful life with your family little one..
ReplyDeleteHe's such a cutie pie! And what a wonderful name. Hope they chose to keep it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet boy! With his little "onion dome" marking on his nose, he reminds me so much of my Julius. Best of luck little rascal! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks to everyone - especially to Laurie to making this match! Lambert made it home safe & sound. He is adjusting nicely to his surroundings and had a very restful sleep last night. He was cuddled up close to me all night which of course I loved. Percy has just met him today and they are checking each other out intently. So far so good. We absolutely love little Lambert (we call him Birdie or Bert) and can't believe how lucky we are. Percy is also a dream kitty - he has grown into a very fit and beautiful big boy. He's very very happy and active in our home and can't wait for him and his new play pal to start sharing the fun times. Bertie pix will be posted soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nance! I came back to see if there was any news from your house and your post makes me happy. Keep 'em coming, and we'd love to see more of percy as an adult.
ReplyDelete"Birdie" was the love name my mom gave to her beloved boy kitty whose real name was Henry.
The Wonder Love Boys! I just love it when our IBKC and PPBK families merge, and the love flows freely like this.
ReplyDeleteLove that last photo. Very "winter's day, sun has set." Lovely.
Can you post pics of Percy? My little kitten looks juuuust like he did as a kitty (except mine's shorthaired), and I'm really curious to see how she'll turn out. ;)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful synchronicity of kitten love!
ReplyDeleteUs....them....us....them, them, them....
Purrfect!
He is beautiful indeed! I have crush on orange cats, when the time is right I will take one kitten too :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the update, Nance. I second Anne Boleyn's request to keep 'em coming and welcome any and all photos and descriptions of the ongoing adventures of your kittes--itty bitty and otherwise.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lucky boy. He is so photogenic.
ReplyDeleteWe wish lovely little Lambert the most lucky and loving life.
