Keep Your Mitts off, Mimsey!
I like crafting with kittens around, but Mimsey and Nigel are big enough to jump on chairs and some desks now so they're getting into my stuff and getting into trouble.
I have a stash of mylar balls in my desk, so every now and again I'll toss one, and they'll scurry off and play for a few minutes. Of course they come back for more trouble.
Today Mimsy could't keep her mitts off my the ornaments I'm making. Those dangling tassels are just too irresistible.

So glad for the post!!!! So cute....we love her!
ReplyDeleteWho's she sticking her tongue out at - you or Nigel? Those ornaments are lovely; can't blame a girl for liking pretty things.
ReplyDeleteOh How cute. Round kitty tummies and the last pic is sooo funny. As if she is telling you can not fool me with the sparkle balls look what I am doing..
ReplyDeleteAn lovely crafts too. A cristmas tree?
Oooohh!! I'm with you, Mimsey, they DO look good enough to eat!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like maybe her nail is stuck on the tassle. How long did she sit there like that?
ReplyDeleteI love her hind feetsies in the first two pics so much!
ReplyDeleteLaurie, she's not fooled. Those ARE kitten toys you've carefully arranged for her!
ReplyDeleteAw, no fair, Laurie! You essentially hung up a bunch of cat toys - of course she can't resist the temptation!
ReplyDeleteI agree, those are some mighty fine kitty toys you've got hanging there. Who can blame little Mim?
ReplyDeleteThat tongue is irresistable.
ReplyDeleteBut she's helping! Clearly!
ReplyDeleteHey Mimsey, I sometimes stick my tongue out a little when I'm REALLY concentrating on a craft project. I understand.
ReplyDeleteLaurie, you raise polite kittens and you know of my love for The Bean as a foster-mother, but how can you keep a kitten away from dangly? (Especially beautiful dangly?)
ReplyDeleteThe last pic, her little tummy!
I can sympathize.. When I'm quilting, the cats come out of the woodwork to .. ahem.. help. Gotta sit on the fabric so it doesn't fall off the table. Gotta chase any scraps/threads that fall on the floor .. Gotta sit on Mom's lap to make sure that she's doing it right. If I lay the quilt top on the floor to measure, they have to make sure that cats can fit UNDER it.
ReplyDeleteOh, I can sympathize all right.. but don't you just love it?
Oh,, and the tongue sticking out helps one concentrate.. :)
ReplyDeleteNaughty Mimi! Nah, she is simply supervising your work; those ornaments need to be kitty-approved! They are lovely, BTW - as is Mimsey! She is such a precious little doll.
ReplyDeleteThe caption for the 3rd one needs to be "Ooooooh, pretteeeesss. For Me????"
ReplyDeletePoor Miss Mimsy - it's so clear to her that you created this wonderful plaything just for her!!! :D
ReplyDeleteOooh, her tummy looks so soft and fluffy! :)
ReplyDeleteShe's not being naughty. She's inspecting! Quality control. "Approved by Mimsey" could be included with each one.
ReplyDeleteWell that's just unfair. If yoo're gonna put temptation in their path ~ yoo should expect trubble! Those ornaments are just too hard to resist.
ReplyDeleteLove her dark tail except for the bitty white at the very end. She looks like she's giving the raspberry to someone in the last pic.
ReplyDeleteWell Mimsey, if you ask us, it looks like they are put there especially for you. ;)
ReplyDeleteAgreed, Milo and Alfie! Especially at her tender age, can she really be blamed for giving in to such strong enticements? A generally law-abiding grown up kitty'd find it difficult if not impossible!
ReplyDeleteOh no, you just had your first sibling squabble with lovely Miss Mimsey. The old classic "don't touch my things" squabble.
ReplyDeleteAwwwww gee Mom! You put these out to temp me and then you say I can't play with them. Well...ppbbbttttt!
