You Kittens Be Careful!

DSC_0709

I hate it when the wrestling matches migrate to the back of the sofa. Someone usually takes a dive, and grabs the drapes to on the way down.

I think the added challenge of balancing on the back of the sofa makes the game THAT much more interesting for the kittens.

During this match, they both fell, but they landed on the couch cushions, so no one got hurt.

And speaking of kittens in high places, travel plans have been made, and the Frosts will be escorted by my friend Kim (Charlene's foster mom) back to the midwest by air. Kim's a flight attendant and travels to Chicago several times a month. If all goes well, they'll be departing on the 20th, and my parents will drive up to Chicago to meet them at the airport.

I'm hoping Nigel will make two pounds this week, so we can get them on the surgery schedule. He still has a couple of ounces to go. I know he looks bigger than Mimsey, but he really is a whole lot of floof!

And speaking of hair,, I have a hairy week ahead. I'll be posting everyday, but tweeting and facebooking from Ms Bean, may be a little lighter. (I'll be on my computer a lot, so Charlene won't be able to use it for all her social networking)

Ok friends, have a good Monday.

Thanks for all your love and support, by the way.

  1. Will the Frosts be able to travel in the people compartment?

  2. OF COURSE, Anne!! And they will get the VIP treatment, I'm sure!

  3. Yay! I was really hoping they weren't traveling in cargo - I would've had a worry if so! I didn't think you'd let them go via cargo anyhow! :)

BTW, your parents are very lucky to be the Frosts' peoples -- and the Frosts are very lucky to have them!

  4. Sounds like the travel plans are falling nicely into place. I'm sure they'll be treated like celebrities.

And wrestling on the couch makes for great photo opportunities :)

  5. This is all working out so well... I love it. I hope they get upgraded on the flight!

  6. Is floof accounted for in the 2-pound weight calculation? Nigel has so much, it must weigh a few ounces, no?

(No, I'm not really trying to extend their stay for our benefit... I'm just looking out for him :) )

  8. What an exciting day at O'Hare or Midway....wish I lived nearby. I'd be stalking arrival gates just to get an up close peek of that first meeting. EAT and EAT little Mr. Nigel...you've got such an adventure ahead of you and will be all the more adorable as you fill out all that floof.

  9. You know, kittens, it's all fun and games until somebody loses an eye.

At least that's what my mother used to tell us! That, and "some people just can't have nice things."

  10. Of course the wrestling matches migrate to the back of the couch! They're little ninjas (though, not so well camouflaged... ) and need to build up their poise and balance and accuracy by setting themselves extreme challenges when sparring.

  11. Hehe, nice wrestling match there, Frosts! Glad to know you will have a wonderful trip to your furever home being cared for by a lovely kitty caretaker :D

  12. Laurie, if the Frosts are flying into O'Hare and they need an intermediate "caretaker"...my office is literally just down the street from the airport. I'm more than willing to take a long lunch hour and sit with them. O'Hare can be scary place for a human much less an adorable kitten. Just sayin' ;)

  14. That's wonderful news about the Frosts, but I'm shocked, shocked I tell you, to learn that Charlene doesn't have her own computer!! Who knew she was living in such neglectful circumstances??

  15. Thanks, Suzanne. I'll keep that in mind should a crisis occur! Fingers crossed there won't be any travel glitches!!

  20. Steph is so right, Charlene!!!!
Gotta get a lotta teachin' & lickin' in before the Frosts go forth and invade the Kitten Whisperer's domain!

  21. Awww .. we wish the kittens love and luck for their flight. Kitten-Club class of course!

  22. Suzanne, we must be almost work neighbors! I work maybe five minutes from O'Hare and was going to make a similar offer, depending on whether I've got meetings or such and if the bus runs that time of day.

  23. Eat all your noms, Nigel so you can go home to your new Mom and Dad (aka Mrs and Mr Kitten Whisperers). Good luck on the transport. I would love to be on that flight!
