Now that two weeks have passed, the quarantine has been lifted and the Bartletts are free to roam about the house. They got to come out of their room on Christmas Eve, and everyone was very excited to meet Charlene. Especially Georgie. It seems he's got a bit of a crush on her. When she enters the room, he's quick to greet her. He'll rub up against her and his crooked little tail goes straight up in the air (well,,, as straight as it will go, anyway).
Here's a few pictures of the first encounter...
The Bartletts are being good. They're curious little creatures, and have been checking out every square inch of the place. They've been under the Christmas tree, but so far no one has attempted to climb it. They have found the items beneath the tree of greater interest than the the tree itself.
So far.
If anyone climbs the tree, I think it will be Marcell. He's the lean, agile, impulsive athlete in the bunch.
My folks sent me some pics from Nigel and Mimsey's Christmas. If time permits, I'll be posting those later today.
I hope everyone had a lovely holiday weekend!
They're so cute together! I'm glad they went so well. BB looks like she's searching for the kitten food in the first picture.
ReplyDeleteIt never ceases to amaze me how calm the Bean is with the new kittens, and vice versa. It was weeks before I could let my 2 new kittens out into the general household without any hissing from Queen Peanut or the 2 new brats. Laurie is truly the Cat Whisperer, but she did learn from the best Whisperer out there.. her Dad.
ReplyDeleteLi'l Georgie Porgie -- I hope you won't be kissing Miss Bean and then making her cry! Stick with the kisses and the heroine worship, and maybe she'll share a sparkle ball with you.
ReplyDeleteAhhh... Charlene has a new class of kittens! Yay!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, those 3rd + 4th pictures are so precious. The feline equivalent of puppy love, or having a crush on your kindergarten teacher. Charlene is *such* a crush-worthy sweetie.
ReplyDeleteSuch sweet photos and Charlene is just so wonderful.
ReplyDeleteSo so cute and sweet! Love how Georgie is walking the Charlene walk in the last picture.
ReplyDeleteMuch like Georgie, you're missing a "tail" up there (in the first pp).
ReplyDeleteI thought of Willamena on Xmas when a stray cat WITH THUMBS was wandering outside the house. So freakin' cute!
Awww, Georgie - good thing I live two states away, cuz I'm in love with his crooked tail and sweet face!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet and adorable! It really is love! Little Imogene looks a bit scared, though - or maybe just intimidated? Like, "oh my! Is this how big I am going to be when I grow up?!"
ReplyDeleteGeorgie + Bean = super-sweet kitty lovin's coming up!
ReplyDeleteMiss Imogene looks intimidated by the combination of all this new space, Miss Charlene & her floof and Georgie's bravery!
The other brothers are just hangin' out at the fringes - hoping for a sparkle ball (or Beanie bath?)
Auntie Bean loves the stripely boys.
ReplyDeleteCan this be a new member of the household???
ReplyDeleteOne of the best things about IBKC & Pitter Pats is watching the Old Hands nurture the short-termers. Not all cats may be as accepting as these, but adult cats do seem to know not to judge the babies and their behavior too harshly, don't they? They exhibit an amazing degree of tolerance and maturity.
ReplyDeleteOh, my, Georgie indeed does have a crush on Ms. Butterbean, and who would blame him!
ReplyDeleteGeorgie is just adorable! The other Bartletts are too - but he is extra adorable. I wish he could come live with me.
ReplyDeleteMeeting Charlene is always such an exciting adventure.
ReplyDeleteI love that we get to witness it in these pictures.
I am melting from the cuteness of photo #2 with Georgie looking at Miss Bean with a look of love. Third photo looks like he is giving her a kiss. So sweet!
