Just before I left on my trip, Sue of Pitter Pats fame stopped by for a visit and brought her fluffy little ward, Pat. Charlene was happy to meet the boy, who looks an awful lot like a buff version of Mr Nigel Frost.
They became fast friends, and had a great time batting around the sparkle balls and playing with the feather wand.
Pat is one cute little dumpling, and we all enjoyed meeting him.
PS I stopped by the shelter on Tuesday, and there were no kittens in need of fostering. We're at the top of the list, so as soon as some arrive, we'll be getting the call.

ReplyDeletePat is, of course, adorable but The Bean always steals my heart. She is such an amenable cat! Hopefully she got her kitten fix until you guys get a new litter.

Yay! No kittens in need of homes! That's wonderful. And Pat IS an adorable little dumpling.
ReplyDeleteOh, Pat, I've admired you on Sue's site, but didn't quite realize what an adorably short little tail you sport. The Bean certainly loves babies! No kittens to foster...good in the grand scheme of things, but I do feel a tad sorry for myself having to wait to fall in love with a whole new litter.

Oh, I've been loving the photos of poofy Pat on Sue's blog. He is so cute. I hope this perked Charlene up a little bit in her kittenless home.

ReplyDeleteHey! That's my baby!!! I got to adopt Mr. Floof himself and he is such a doll! Well, except at 3am when he's playing with my toes through the sheets, but even then I can't bring myself to yell at that face. His floof is also a natural self defense against kisses...

ReplyDeleteHooray! No kittens that need fostering! I hope that means fewer animals being handed over to the shelter. I'm sure Bean is disappointed. I hope she's getting enough stimulation now that her sister is gone and there's no kittens. I know you and your husband do what you can, but I tend to think that nothing really replaces a member of your own species.

ReplyDeleteWell, it's not really "kitten season" right now. A shame - kittens are born all year round, it's just that not as many make it in the cold weather.
ReplyDeleteI've always said, though, that while homeless cats aren't a good thing necessarily, just think what would happen if we succeeded and all the cats in the world were fixed. Then there'd be no more kittens.
There is such a thing as too much of a good thing.

ReplyDeleteAnon, we are VERY far from all the cats in the world being fixed. When there are no more unwanted cats being brought into shelters, then we can talk about an underpopulation problem.
