Sweet Imogene
Meet Imogene, the only girl in this bunch of Bartletts. She was the scrawniest kitten in the litter, but she's filling out FAST.
Her coat is mostly buff, but she has a few smokey patches on her arms and backside too. At first, I thought it was dirt, but the patches remained after her bath and seem to be getting darker everyday. It will be interesting to see how her color develops.
Imogene is a happy and bright little girl with a shining personality. She's loving and affectionate towards her littermates and us humans too, and she's been that way since day one.

Awww, she looks so sweet but a little sad. Don't be sad, you are in good hands now...
ReplyDeleteYou do have a wonderful way of conveying each Kitten's personality. Greetings, Imogene! Can't wait to see how you and Miss Charlene get along!
ReplyDeleteThey all have fascinating almond eyes.. more so than you usually see in cats.
ReplyDeleteLovely bunch so far.
Hi Sweet Imogene! There's no need for sad eyes now - you are in the best place ever for kitties needing a bit of a boost in finding their forever homes. I'm looking forward to seeing you and your sibs playing in wild, happy spirits soon!
ReplyDeleteAn orange GIRL!? Woohoo! :)
ReplyDeleteHello Imogene, nice to meet you.
Such soulful eyes and a sweet expression you have, Imogene! And your coloring is absolutely unique. Looking forward to getting to know you, little one.
ReplyDeleteHello, little sweetie pie! So happy to meet you and to get to know you! Even though you're the only girl, I'm sure you're keeping all your brothers in line! ;)
ReplyDeleteOrange tabby girls are a real gift from the universe. My life has been blessed with one for over twelve years now. Yay!
ReplyDeleteI love all the Bartletts! Darling little darlings!
ReplyDelete*searches web for airfares to Seattle*
ReplyDeleteSweet little Imogene is a cutie patootie!!...snuggle
ReplyDeleteThat is the sweetest, most soulful little face...
ReplyDeleteHello, little love!! I'm glad to hear that you're putting on the ounces, wee girl... keep it up!!
ReplyDeleteAll of the Bartlett's look positively saintly! They need little halos over their heads!
ReplyDeleteThey must be Christmas angels.
These sweet little Bartletts are so lucky to have you taking care of them. You can really see how much they've been through in their little faces! I hope they all get healthy and strong fast.
ReplyDeleteSweet, sweet Angels. Those faces are too much. I've never seen such sweetness. Christmas Angels no doubt and the luckiest kitties ever. Thank you to the Saint that brought them in to the shelter.
ReplyDeleteShe has such sad eyes. I bet whoever adopts her for her forever home will make sure her life is full of happiness. It may have been a rough start, but she and her brothers have everything going for them now!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure she's sad-looking; I'd call it more pensive. Perhaps she realizes more than her brothers that the Great Paw sent them the right direction at that fork in the road. It's true! The Bartletts' futures are stunning! (Thanks, Laurie!)
ReplyDeleteI don't think her eyes are sad, I think they are wondering why Laurie is wasting valuable petting time by taking pictures.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful dark eyes. Love you, little Imogene!
ReplyDeleteHi sweet bunny bear! I love your almond shaped eyes and I bet you are just a lovebug.
ReplyDeleteAw! That face would melt even the most hardened grinch-heart! Not that there are any grinches lurking around the IBKC page, of course, but Imogene should know that she's got super kitten endearing powers!
ReplyDeleteSo far, I only want all three... I am sure tomorrow that will change... to all four....
ReplyDeleteis she a polydactyl?
ReplyDeleteWhat are you thinking about, little buff beauty? And who gave you those chocolate eyes?
ReplyDeleteSweet baby girl kitteh! You are so lovely, Miss Imogene!
ReplyDeletetoo sweet!
ReplyDeleteEat up and play, little girl. Life will be better now.
ReplyDeleteThey all look like Victorian street waifs: winsome, thoughtful and plaintive. I think the lack of fat on their faces is the reason their eyes are such an odd shape, but I'm looking forward to seeing them get plump and frisky. :)
ReplyDeleteGrow, little Bartletts! Grow!
Does sweet little Imogene have extra toesies?
ReplyDeleteWelcome, dear little Imogene! You are one gorgeous little girl >^..^<
ReplyDeleteGahh...all of the Bartletts have such beautiful upturned eyes! Soooo sweet. Catena, I'm with you -- did you find any good bargains on airfare to Seattle?
ReplyDeleteBeth Ann, I thought that too but I think they're just her front paws close together.
ReplyDeleteAll the Bartletts including Imogene have the lovely almond-shaped eyes. Makes them look exotic AND cute! :)
I think I'll affectionately call her "Immie" for short. :-)
ReplyDeleteshe is absolutely gorgeous and looks like a total LOVE kitty! i think some pics with the 'hubs' would be appropriate at this point Laurie... she seesm to be just waiting for some big shoulders to nap on! she is wonderful! again- 'almond eyes~" beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAre the Bartletts older than most of the kittens are when you get them, Laurie? I notice that their eyes have all changed, whereas some of the kittens you get still have blue eyes. How old are the kittens usually when they come to you, anyway, and how old are these ones?
ReplyDeleteI love her!
ReplyDeleteHer eyes are so expressive and soulful.
She will make someone very happy after she has made us in IBKC land!
Awww, what a sweet baby girl indeed! I had a feeling it would be 3 boys and 1 girl, like the Lively Bunch. Lots of snuggles to you, tiny Imogene!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet girl! Although I love every single kitten that comes to live with you...
ReplyDeletePurry greetings ~ Such a rare name, Imogene. Thanks for pulling that name out of the history books. Here's what it means from Behind the Name - The name of a princess in the play 'Cymbeline' (1609) by Shakespeare. He based her on a legendary character named Innogen, but the name was printed incorrectly and never corrected. The name Innogen is probably derived from Gaelic inghean meaning "maiden".
ReplyDeleteWe wish for joy and love this Christmas, for this dear little one and all fer siblings.
ReplyDeleteSwoon! Two gingers in one litter, and a ginger girl to boot! Oh, would that I lived in Seattle....
ReplyDeleteNo extra toes on this girl.. it just looks that way because she's holding her paws together.
ReplyDeletekisekileia - THey're around 8 weeks now. They're older than average for us, but they're pretty small for their age. Usually our kittens are 4-6 weeks when they move in. We've had much younger and much older too.
Is it me or do the kitties look like they are on the verge of bursting into tears?
ReplyDeletewhat a sweet little face..Don't look so sad little one, you are in kitty heaven in Laurie's house and we send you tons of love...
