Two Lovely Ladies
Recognize these two? It's two of our Suprenant Sisters, Camille and Betty June. Now Camille goes by Riza and Betty June goes by Mei.
It doesn't seem possible, but these girls are ALREADY 8 months old. Really, didn't they just leave our nest?
Joy, their mom, loves her kitties dearly and is great about documenting their lives. She takes lovely photos, don't you think?
She said that she often calls Riza the belly flopper or the belly princess, because she will run into her bedroom, vault up on the bed, and then flop over and show her belly to solicit belly rubs. She especially does this in the morning when Joy is trying to leave for work, or in the evening as she is putting down my things after getting back from work.
Mei, she is basically her feline alarm clock and wakes her up most mornings by licking her forehead or the tip of her nose. (Attempts to burrow her head under the blankets are entirely futile.)
They really turned into some beautiful little ladies. No surprise there, they were so adorable as kittens.
Thanks so much for sharing your pictures and stories with us, Joy. It was a treat to "see" them again.
Before we go, here's a cute little movie of the girls. Enjoy!

OMG - they have gotten to big. They are lovely girls. And love the video - whack a sister, take a break, then back to the whacking..... Sounds like they have a great forever family!!
ReplyDeletethey are such beautiful girls! <3
ReplyDeleteThey have gotten so beautiful. I especially love that they were on a 101 Dalmatians blanket.

What wonderful photos! And, I would recognise the chair in the first photo anywhere-it's from IKEA and is the ULTIMATE cat chair. We joke (somewhat seriously) that we really bought our two for our cats. Any time I see that chair it has a cat in it! And, the fabric attracts cat hair so you have to put a towel or cover on.
ReplyDeleteI love updates! What gorgeous girls...and I love littermates who grow up together...such a special bond. Thanks! xxoo,
ReplyDeleteOh they are hardly babes anymore. They've grown into beautiful ladies!
ReplyDelete*sniff* they grow up so fast! *sniff* But so happy to see them in a good forever home.
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous girls! Camille/Riza looks just like my late beloved Webster, and it hardly gets any better than that!
ReplyDeleteThey certainly are beautiful kitties :) prrrr
ReplyDeleteNot so surprising, given what adorable babies they were, but haven't they grown into gorgeous young ladies! Obviously very well-loved, too.
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful ladies, that's for sure. Their mom takes great photos.
ReplyDeleteThey were such adorable kittens and now they have grown into two lovely ladies, indeed! I'm so happy for them, that they have such a wonderful forever home.
ReplyDeleteMy beloved Rosie, who passed after almost 20 years of being my wonderful cat, looked exactly like Mei - very cream colored in her youth, then darkened and darkened and darkened, like siamese kitty-cats do.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous kittehs take gorgeous photos! They grow up so fast!
ReplyDeleteJoy, what joy these girls must bring you every day! They are sooooo beautiful, each in her own way. My 17 year old kitty just started waking me up by licking my forehead and nose...she must have somehow learned that from Mei. Wishing the three of you many, many years of happiness, fun and love!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. They look very happy and well cared for. They've changed a lot since being kittens and are cuter now than before. I started fostering Pepi when she was 5 months. I wonder if she was too old to pass as a kitten by then. Poor thing. She hated the adoption shows. I'm glad she's here with me as a permanent resident. How do you keep from worrying yourself sick over the kittens?
ReplyDeleteI hear all these stories about abandoned cats when they grow up and stop being "cute" and whatnot and I just want to hug my three cats tightly. (Of course my other two cats were abandoned and returned so I'm biased.)
I enjoyed watching the half-hearted sister thwapping - and seeing how absolutely happy and beautiful they are!
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking such good care of "our" itty bitties ;)
Not such a "tiny tabby" anymore, hey, Mei? I love those beautiful girls! They have changed so much, but they are still so playful and adorable. Thanks for the update and gorgeous photos, Joy!
ReplyDeleteRiza and Mei thank everyone for all the kind comments. Or would if they were not busy stalking a ladybug. :)
ReplyDeleteWOW! They have grown up to be EVEN more beautiful than they already were. Our Alfie does that tummy flop thing all the time too.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate these. I have seen a lot of kittens, and a lot of adult cats. But I don't get to connect the two very often. I'm especially happy about these because Mei looks a fair bit like one of my cats, who came to me after being an adult stray. I've always wanted some sense of her kitten face and family background.
ReplyDeleteDarling girls! Our TJ and Olivia used to have those adorable slap fights, which often ended in a puddle of napping tabbies.
ReplyDeleteRiza and Mei are obviously loved and pampered girls, and doesn't that make us *all* happy? :)
Oh, you are so lucky to be able to see your fosters all grown up! I wish I knew how mine were doing!
ReplyDeleteThese really are two lovely ladies, love the pictures.
