Yesterday, Charlene spent pretty much the whole day watching the jumbo-sized snowflakes fall. It didn't stick much then, but last night the snow fell hard and accumulated. We woke up to a winter wonderland.
It's snowing again now, and with those grey clouds above, it doesn't seem to show signs of stopping soon.
I brought Bean outside to see if she might want to check it out. She stood on the doormat, only three paws touching, and sniffed the air. Then she turned around and pawed at the front door. It was just to cold for her precious self. You would think she would be fine with her fur coat, but I guess our Bean is just delicate.
Speaking of wintery things,, I've got some new pictures of the Frosts to share. They hardly look like kittens! They both weigh around seven pounds, so they are getting big!
Thanks for sending the pics, Dad!
And thanks to everyone who shared the kitty stories this week. I hope you all enjoyed reading everyone's tales as much as I did. There were some REALLY good ones.
We hit the jackpot - Butterbean AND the Frosts in one post!! I'm not really surprised about Charlene, she's such a princess. And those Frosties! Cuter and sweeter by the *day.*
ReplyDeleteGreat photos of Nigel and Mimsey! I especially like the box one -- it's the same box they were climbing in and out of through a tiny hole when they were small!!
ReplyDeleteMy kittehs hate the snow too. And the Frost pics are adorable.
ReplyDeleteWoohoo, a Frost update! They are getting so big...all the more to love. Charlene's got that snow thing just right...lovely through a window...not so much on bare (or furry) feet. I sometimes scoop up a snowball and bring it indoors for sniffing, batting, etc. Even that isn't particularly welcome to my indoor only ones.
ReplyDeletethey do grow up waaay to fast, at least for my preferences. my little guy, shlomo (aka little man, shloms) who was just a wee bitty 1 jan is now a teenager. it makes me a bit sad that shlomo is getting big and isn't gonna be my little man for much longer. but, like the frosts, he's growing up to be a beautiful big(ger) guy.
ReplyDelete:)
Scarlett and Melly enjoyed watching the snow fall too. Melly was thoroughly confused this morning by the snow that covered everything outside, and kept pacing the window ledges and pawing at the glass. Scarlett just sniffed the air through a crack in the window and then went and curled up by the heater.
ReplyDeleteThe Frosts have gotten so big! They look so grown up now, but they're still adorable!
Cute, cute kitties! My cat, Charlie, will shy away from the cold even though he is an adopted stray who grew up in the cold and rain.
ReplyDeleteCharlene is just very intelligent; why go freeze her tail off when she can crawl up on Craig and nap? Love the Frosts and they are of course flourishing with your parents.
ReplyDeleteI'm in southern California, and my cats want to know what is this "snow" you speak of?
ReplyDeleteAwww I love the 2nd picture...Nigel's like I shall leeck you to bits Mimsey!
ReplyDeleteMy tripod kitty is that way with the snow while the other 2 love going on the balcony. They should love it tomorrow with 10 cm coming our way!
Sigh...Charlene and the Frosts...and Nigel practicing his Bean bath technique!
ReplyDeleteSqueeeeeeee!!!! They are so big! I can't believe how fast they are growing, they lost the baby cheeks already and look so gorgeous and lean. Time really flies when you're dealing with itty bitty kittens.
ReplyDeleteNigel Frost is my MOST FAVOURITE itty-bitty-kitty of all time! <3 And both him and Mimsey are obviously a pair of very well-raised cats! Bravo to your parents, Laurie! :D
ReplyDeleteOMG, they have gotten so big! I barely recognized them! And they're only what, about 6 months old? Thanks for the update!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos of Nigel and Mimsey! I especially like the box the box is going up inside and outside through a small hole when they were little!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the stories too. Nice to see Nigel and Mimsey. They are growing fast! Oh Miss Bean, you would laugh at my silver tabby kitty. She likes to go fishing in the puddle on my deck when it rains.
ReplyDeleteThey are just soooo big now!
ReplyDeleteOh, Nigel, I love you so dearly. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd for miss Bean - thank the itty bitty god you're having snow for sniffing and looking at. Here at Rio de Janeiro, the sun is so hot it's burning! Your furry fellow Agatha suffers so much in the heat... :(
Nigel seems to have grown into all his floof; he doesn't look as long-haired as I thought he would be.
ReplyDeleteNigel is soooo handsome! I swoon before you, Mr. Frost.
ReplyDeleteSleek and handsome -- they're growing into their adult bodies very well.
ReplyDeleteBean, I'm with you. I'd rather be inside.
Awww, they still love each other!
ReplyDeleteI have read your article. Really, I enjoyed very much. I read each & every sentences of your article. Nigel Frost is my most favorite itty-bitty-kitty of all time!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos of Nigel and Mimsey! I am impressed with this article. I like the box is going up inside and outside through a small hole when they were little.
ReplyDeleteToo cute! I treated my own pets when I got paid for my mis sold PPI claims.
ReplyDeleteNigel and Mimsey are looking so beautiful in this pictures. I am inspired with your blog. Like the Frosts and they are of course flourishing with your parents.
