Another Frost Update
While we wait for our next litter to arrive, I thought I would share with you a little Mimsey and Nigel Frost update from my parents. Dad took the pictures, and Mom wrote the text...
It hardly seems like it has been six months since we picked up little Nigel and Mimsey in Chicago. They have grown so much! Nigel has a tail that would make Charlene proud. Mimsey still is the smaller of the two, and probably always will be. They are such buddies, and spend a good part of each day playing together. We can certainly see the advantage of adopting two at one time. Sometimes they will be found sleeping on the porch in the same rocking chair, and other times, they hang out in their own favorite napping places. They are experts in turning anything they find on the floor into a soccer toy, from dust balls to pencils.
We appreciate the fact that, even though they get up much earlier than we do, (remember we're retired), they stay very quiet in the morning, and do not wake us to be fed. They have become loving members of our family. It is good to see their sweet little faces, when we walk through the front door. It is obvious that their affection for us has grown, since we brought them home. And, we are learning the ways of cats. I found out early on that picking them up and putting them on my lap does not always work; but, when I'm sitting down, they will jump up and stay there for quite a while. In other words, they like to spend time with us, under their terms! And, that is OK, too. We do love them!
Thanks for sharing, Mom and Dad!

Oh, how wonderfully beautiful they are. And how amazing and patient your parents. Sweethearts all round.
ReplyDeleteThat is quite the tail! He could use that for cleaning bottles! ;)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, they have gotten so big! They are just gorgeous. :)
ReplyDeleteHoly moly, those Frosts are fantastically gorgeous and rightfully satisfied with their home. I bet they are pleased with how well their humans are responding to their training
ReplyDeleteIt is a magnificent tail, indeed. Very pretty and immaculate kitties. Love to hear the stories of how your parents are getting to know "the ways of the cat." Your Mom wisely acknowledges that we must adapt to cats rather than the other way around. :) Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteCynthia, said it -- "we must adapt to cats rather than the other way around". I've been owned by cats for many years, but none so polite as to quietly await breakfast....EVER quietly await breakfast. Beautiful as kittens, these two are even more beautiful as cats. Thanks to your parents for the update.
ReplyDeleteI can't stop laughing at pic #5.
ReplyDeleteHopefully, the people around me at the public library failed to notice my pathetic attempt to touch Nigel's tail through the computer screen. How marvelous it is! (How marvelous they both are!)
ReplyDeleteI didn't they they could get any cuter - but I was wrong!
ReplyDeleteHoly moly - they grew up!!! How adorable. We are very glad they have brought such joy to your parents.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, Nigel's tail is amazing! Mimsey's markings are just as beautiful. Love this!

Now that is a seriously floofy tail!
ReplyDeleteWhile I am partial to Mimsey because I think Nigel probably gets more attention(from OUTSIDE the family) because he is so stunning, I think your parents might want to get a modeling contract for that boy so he can support them in their retirement.
ReplyDeleteNigel just rocks that tail. He was always a handsome boy! So nice to see Mimsey and him settled in and happy.
ReplyDeleteWow how gorgeous are they! And the floof!
ReplyDeleteThank you Laurie's mom and dad for the update - we love them.
We needed a "Frost" report to cool things off here in NC! I'm so glad to hear that things are going well, and it sounds like your parents are smitten with the kittens - which is the way of the world. :-)
ReplyDeleteA lovely tail/tale!
ReplyDeleteThat is one bodacious tail Nigel is sporting. He better be careful or he could get drafted as a feather duster.
ReplyDeleteSo happy to see this Frost Report. Nigel is as beautiful as ever. I love Mimsey's big girl face very much. So serious:)
ReplyDeleteI love that your parents kept their given names... I think you nail it on the names and am so surprised when folks change them!!
ReplyDeleteThanks to you and your parents for the Frost report! Nigel is such a handsome fellow (that tail!), and Mimsey is just precious.
ReplyDeleteNigel Frost, I'm as much in love you now as I was the first time I saw you... GORGEOUS!!!! <3
ReplyDeleteWow! Is that a tail, or a bottle brush?! Wow! And it isn't foofed; it's just naturally huge? Wow. When my cats' tails do that, they're usually freaked out!
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty kitties! <3 <3 <3 And I love Mimsy's markings, too. Such pretty kitties indeed!
Yay! I love Mimsey and Nigel, so an update is always awesome! Yikes, what a tail - yup, Charlene must be proud!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Laurie, sorry to be a bother, but we can't see the Frosts' baby pictures anymore (either here or on Flickr).
Kate B, I know. They disappeared from Flickr, then the blog. I have to find them all and upload again. I will. Some day. It's a huge hassle.
ReplyDeleteomg..they got soooo big and soooo GORGEOUS..your parents are very lucky to have them..Look at Nigel's tail!!!wahooooo...
ReplyDeleteThe tail! I cannot handle such a tail!
ReplyDeleteYour parents should know that even when the kitties stop physically growing, the affection keeps growing:)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reply, Laurie - I was wondering what happened. Darn, that's awful; so sorry! There were so many adorable photos. I was looking for the "kitten in sheep's clothing" picture of Nigel to compare - he had a teeny tiny tail back then!
