Simba has his own pillow pet for the same purpose. He adopted my daughter's penguin pillow pet at Christmas (before she even got it) and wouldn't let her have it. He was so obsessed that we bought him his very own yellow duckie pillow pet. Duckie sleeps at the end of my bed and gets a bath and a massage every night before Simba goes to sleep.
My oldest kitty, Cali, has a red blankie that's her favorite for biscuits. She gets that same look on her face and just kneads away. I often watch her and wonder just what she's thinking about.
@Val, my sister used to have a sweater that she called her (late, great) Ricky's girlfriend. His ativities with said girlfriend were often R, approaching X rated. Oh, Ricky. We miss you!
Havelock, one of our three, has adopted my fleece monkey blanket that was with his brother when he passes as his Kneading blanket. Boy purrs up a storm, kneads like hell and suckles on it too. It's endearing! I love watching the Bean, so calm and focused!
Beatrix rarely kneaded until I got several of those beds like you got recently. Now she cannot stop kneading those beds, just like a kitten (or like her brother, Potter, who needs to knead A LOT!).
Glad to know that some other boy kitties out there get into some, um, R-rated kneading!! hee hee. Spike's "girlfriend" is a blue afghan crocheted by my late grandma. It's very special to me, so I mixed feelings about his "adult" activities. Whenever he gets frisky with it, I just think "for pete's sake, Spike, that's your great-grandma!"
we have a blanket made woven from alpacas. We call it "llama mama" because our boys LOVE it and will knead on it. (better than kneading on us)
ReplyDeleteAwwwww the blankie matches her gorgeous blue eyes! I love da kitteh biscuits - they're my favorite flavor of biscuits. :)

ReplyDeleteSweet! I always wonder what they're thinking when they start all that kneading. Are they in "knead" of something??
ReplyDeleteThose eyes..... :)
ReplyDeleteSomeone has GOT to make a Butterbean stuffed toy.
O Dear Beanie, I love seeing your eyes turn extra blue as you knead that lovely blankie.

ReplyDeleteJust adorable, my little one uses a sheep skin rug to kneed. :) I just love your blog with all the lovely photos!
ReplyDeleteBean, you are a soft and gentle biscuit maker. I'm more of the fast and furious type.
