Closer, Getting Closer
Well TODAY is the day. Two weeks have passed and quarantine is over! The kittens are 100 percent A-OK, so it's time to let them mingle with Bean. Hooray!
It's always funny to see each litter's' reaction to her. Sometimes they charge her. Sometimes they cautiously approach her. Sometimes they hiss and hide.
Charlene is always the same, and patiently waits for them to come to her.
And then she licks them clean.

Well, she's the expert in all things fostering. I trust her judgement! :-)
ReplyDeleteA very, very sweet sequence of pics. I love the last one - the surprised kitten tail - "Wait, I'm getting a BAFF????"
such a sweet moment to see... Charlene is just something special to be sure!!!
ReplyDeleteYEAH - Charlene is such a good foster sister. We love the first picture - kinda looks like "ummm...what is that??" MOL
ReplyDeleteThe perfect Mother's Day card!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe Bean was born to do this! She also has to be thrilled with a more manageable litter.
ReplyDeleteYou have the ultimate fostering cat.
ReplyDeleteawww...Astrid looks sooo tiny itty baby..she was like.."mmmhh..should I?should I not??.. oh well, let's do it!!" Charlene must be thrilled to have such a lovely cutie baby around her...
ReplyDeleteLooks like "Queen" Astrid has learned that she's one of the minions now... a very lucky minion of Queen Bean!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great series of pics!! The Bean really is the best eh??
ReplyDeleteWhat more could Charlene ask for than an endless supply of adorable kittens?
ReplyDeleteAAAAAhhhhhh! Thud! Falling over from the sweet! And JUST what I needed before a 300 mile drive :)
ReplyDeleteBean must be a unique character! The way she deals with every new kitten pack - unbelievable!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Charlene seems so inviting to all the kittens you foster!
ReplyDeleteAw lookit da kitteh! Such a sweet itty bitty kitty! <3 <3 <3 Makes me smile. Yay Charlene Butterbean, Foster Mamakitty! <3 <3 <3

Aw, I spy some kitten-smooching!
ReplyDeleteIt really does seem like Charlene knows, on some level, that she was in these kittens' position as a bitty baby bean and wants to be sure they get plenty of TBC (Tender Bean Care).
Or, maybe she just loves kittens, and who could blame her for that?
my heart melted!!! (as it does with many of the posts here) But this is the sweetest!!
ReplyDeletei love that she is so confident in her kitten-wrangling abilities that she doesnt even pull a paw out from under her when she makes contact. :)
ReplyDeleteKiller cute.
ReplyDeleteBean has the patience of a probervial saint. I think almost everyone else here would snatch up the kitten for a cuddle, but she waits until THEY are ready and make the first move. I think that humans, as a species, can learn from this.
ReplyDeletenot surprised by the cuteness, but caught off guard that it has been TWO WEEKS... love the shots, thanks.
ReplyDeleteAwww, so sweet! Kitty kisses! Charlene is so wonderful with the babies.
ReplyDeleteQuarantine time flew, this time...
ReplyDeleteAnd this is a beautiful sequence and perfectly timed for this weekend.
Miss Charlene will be able to devote much more attention to teaching proper kitty hygiene and manners to the Easterbrooks.
What exquisite patience The Bean has. No wonder every single itty bitty falls in love with her.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love your description of how each litter, and itty bitties within the litters, have their own reactions to Charlene. I'm sure it never gets old for any of you. Bless your hearts! xo
Ms Bean is such an amazing cat. I don't think I've ever seen one so patient with so many new litters. Funny how she waits until they get close enough to feel comfy and then she cleans them!!!!
ReplyDeleteCharlene is such a sweet cat. We love how she is with the kits.
ReplyDeleteVery Adorable!!
